Hey I literally just today had the same problem, put a new bulb in the light was on but did not blink!!!! SUPER EASY SOLUTION, you simply have the bulb in too far. I gently pulled mine out a tiny bit and it started working fine... guarantee that's all that's happening to you!!!

I have a 2005 grand prix and the left hand signal light is not working.the computer said that my lamp is out but shortly after my signal light started to work, any ideas?as well, how much is a new lamp...

It's probably just the bulb. They have tiny filaments in them that vibrate and eventually burn. That or contact at base of bulb had some condensation. I'm sure it's just the bulb.Replace the bulb for peace of mind. At least you know your computer is on top of faults.
