Question about 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT Sport Hatchback
Disconnect the harness and then check the brake light switch near the brake pedal. It can be checked with an OHM METER for continuity. If its an open (OL) displayed in the meters window replace the switch. The brake light switch on the pedal area operates the 12 volt lamps at each side of the vehicle only. The upper brake light operates on a 110 inverter since the bulbs are 110 volts. Upon wiring the trailer harness wire the brake lights to the same circuit to the tail lamp circuit for each side. You probably had them wired to the directionals instead causing this problem
