Question about 1994 Hyundai Excel

Every once in a while the accelerator pedal in my Hyundai Excel Hatchback (1994) jams or gets stuck and the rpms go crazy. It flood my car and I have difficulty starting it. What's up with that?

Well if you're feeling it while driving in the gas pedal then you may have buildup in your throttle body which u can access by removing the plastic air intake right at the throttle, grab some cleaner and spray a LITTLE in the throttle with the pedal down to the floor, then spray the **** out of a clean rag and with the throttle open scrub the walls of the throttle right there at the opening and clean all the black **** off. make sure to get the inside of the throttle plate thoroughly. also next to the throttle where the cable hooks up there is a coiled up spring. make sure its not rusty/nasty if in question then drown it in wd40 or equivalent. if none of that helps then its probably the cable itself which would need replaced. hope i was helpful

did you replace the pilot bearing do you have a good pedal, if the pedal is good your pilot bearing could be binding up on the input shaft not letting the shaft stop

if it is a rectangular cover then most come of by squeezing both the long side to release the clips of the cover. If it is round try turning the cover as removing a jar lid

Brake lights continuosly on even when car turned off and has drained battery is the sensor jammed on and if so where is it to fix problem hyundai excel hatchback 1997 model

there is a brake light switch on your brake pedal it seems very well that it is stuck on look under dash at brake pedal arm you will see a switch with wires to it push pedal down and see if switch releses if not you need a new one

These are the manufacture p/n's for your Hyundai Excel 1.5 engine.

You can pick these up at autozone or any other auto parts store. Don't forget the oil!

I have a 94 excel sprint which will not start. it has spark, timing is ok and have just replaced the ecu? It seems like it is being flooded with fuel. we have also replaced the fuel pump. can you please...

Coolant temp sensor sets up the fuel system tlike a choke. Do not use gas pedal when try tto start. Remove your air filter remporarily and try it.

Clicking noise

your clutch could be going out or your throw out bearing. it could be that catching the fly wheel and causing the noise
