Where do I put the supports when working underneath 2006 Chevy Malibu? I need to change my rear shocks

Look under the car - you'll see 2 long metal rails ( the frame rails) . Support each side with a 2 ton minimum jack stand fully extended approximately one foot ( 12" ) in front of the rear wheels. Now use your jack ( preferably floor style ) to lift one of the rear wheels to relieve the pressure on the shock. Remove fasteners securing the shock, then remove and replace the shock. If the new shock has a plastic strap attached, do not cut this strap until you have mounted the shock on the vehicle. If you do not have an exposed frame rail, you'll see a "pad" in front of the rear wheel close to the outside of the car - it should be about 10 inches in from the pinch weld and about 12 inches in front of the wheel. Use this pad for the stand and lift the vehicle by the c shaped bar that goes from 1 rear wheel to the other. Do not support the car with just the jack -it could let loose and drop the car on you.
Hope this helps!

1995 Cadillac STS-Northstar-changed the alternator, worked for a day, now it is doing the same thing display reads out low voltage, eng hot(it is not overheating), shuts down a/c, transmission seems like...

Check all ground connections, battery to motor ground, battery to body ground connections and motor to body ground strap. These can become corroded and produce all kinds of electrical problems. They may look all right but can be corroded underneath bolt.

How do you rotate the motor in a 2001 Chevy Lumina to change the back three spark plugs

Place the parking brakes on and disconnect the two front dog bone motor mounts. With the transmission placed in park and a friend, free up the parking brake and have your friend push the car forward till the engine rotates far enough for you to work on the rear spark plugs. Put the parking brakes back on and place wheel chalk to the front and rear wheels to ensure the car does not move and you loose an arm.
Good luck and thank you for using FIxya

Right side window goes down but not up. When the up area on switch from right or left side master control the switch makes a clicking sound. iS IT a bad switch or a window motor problem.

the clicking sound comes from the relay, check the relay if the motor goes down then the motor is good ,the polarity is reversed at the switches (reverse the psitive or negative to go or down) try taking out a switch from another door and see if it works(if you can) if not then take it to a shop.

1989 Honda Accord. The seat belt buckle is on the inside. How do I reverse?

twist the strap inside the buckle (hard to do since the opening for the strap is small) but that should take care of that one. This also works on all make and model cars that have the strap that goes through the buckle.

1998 bmw 318i. aux cooling fan does not run. Causing motor to run hot.

check the relay, most probably under the hood, and check the fuse, most probably under the steering wheel near pedals. If u have two fans, most times the 2nd fan is driven by a strap from hte 1st motor, if so, check to see if its broken. If it does need a strap, should turn freely by hand since it has no motor or strap.
