Question about 2006 Honda Odyssey

1 Answer

My husband spilled a full glass of water while driving my honda odyessey minivan. The water landed on the factory dvd player. I can put a disk in and the screen says loading, then switches to error and pops the disc out. I really don't want to go to the dealer b/c it will cost way more money than we have! Please help!

Seems it is damaged not much you can do then that, go to a stereo shop might cost you less to install an after market unit.

MY husband just spilled coffee in the odyssey and some landed on the dvd player. Now our dvd player is too not working. Just called the dealer and it will cost almost $900 to replace. Did you find any luck getting your dvd player working?

My husband has just fitted a new dvd player in our 2003 Discovery 2,But it is saying invalid region. He bought the dvd from Ebay & I was sent from the USA.Do we need some sort of reset code??

DVD players designed for the US are set for Region 1 and cannot be used with DVD's that are from other regions such as Great Britain and most of Europe which use Region 2 DVD's . What you need is a "Region Free" player which plays all regions or a player that plays your specific region. We live in the US but watch many British DVD series so use.a Region Free player as they are Region 2 and we are in Region 1.

maybe you can return the player or at least get some sort of credit for it towards the correct region player. If you are unsure of your region, just Google it.

My Honda Odyssey 2007 dvd player wont play. The player keeps saying loading then it will either eject the dvd or read error. The battery never died and I've tried different dvds, none of them work.

its probably dead.
a tech, ,opens the drive and cleans it , in the hope it come back.
looking for , junk (labels) in the drive. broken disks , parts inside
or dust on optics, cars are dust magnets, so.......
if it's not something easy, most replace it. it's cheaper that real repairs.
but all can be fixed in any pro electronics shop and all parts can be had. parts + labor can hit $200 easy or more,
id up grade to USB memory stick Headend radio
and use them, an never DVD again, they really are obsolete now.
really. id move up.. 1000s of songs on one stick, no more scratched skipping or dirty disk.s
DVD is dead, (first run movies excepted, but VOD is killing this)

My 98 honda odyessey ran hot today and it has water getting in my oil what do I do?

The most likely source of your problem is a leaking head gasket. To check it remove all spark-plugs, pressurize the cooling system and inspect each cylinder for signs of coolant.

Locate the evaporator canister on 2003 honda odyessey

It is on the driver's side of the car directly underneath the spot the driver's right knee occupies while driving. It has a black plastic stone shield in front of it. If you get on the driver's side of the van and face forward parallel to line of travel and get down on your hands and knees with your head lined up with the steering wheel---then look under and to your right and you'll see it.
