Question about 1993 Honda Accord

1 Answer

My 93 honda accord will not start, turn over or click. I tried jumping the battery just in case but it did nothing. The radio and everything else battery related works fine so I think it is something to do with the engine. Any ideas?

Sounds like a possible starter is bad on it or bad connection to the starter from the battery.

I have seen issues like this on other Honda's and the problem turned out to be the ignition starter switch. Do this, jumper power directly to the starter solenoid trigger wire and see if the engine cranks.

2006 honda accord wont start. nothing happens when i turn it on, just a click. radio, lights and door chime work.vehicle will not jump start

First make sure the shift lever is properly in the park position. Hondas tend to have little problem in that area after a few years.
Second make sure battery terminals are clean and secure. Next you should try jumping the battery. A low battery may produce enough electricity to run the radio, lights, chimes etc but not enough to crank engine.

is the battery good? try unhooking the battery for ten minutes if it is and rehook and see if it does. this will reset the memory. the jump start may have been the problem hoping it was hooked correctly. if the battery tests bad replace it it could be the culprit. once you hook it up if the alarm sounds try disabling it with your remote then let us know what happens. hope this helps

Hi
Try to jump start the car.
Put the jump leads on and leave it for 10 mins
that will charge the battery up
then try and start.
Also check the starter motor.

2006 honda accord, after changing the battery. resetting the radio code. the radio will not pick up any stations???

Unless the Accord was jump started, creating possible power surge to damage radio, it should not of had any relationship to the radio.

But, just in case, would suggest disconnecting battery for 5 minutes, reconnecting battery, reentering radio code and see what happens.

If that fails, hopefully your under 36k miles or got the Factory extended warranty "Honda Care" Service plan, so take to the Honda Dealership to see what they say.
