Could be torque convertor. Is it like a kind of shunting?

did they tell you what the code was for the service engine light.you probably have a bad plug wire or a cracked spark plug causing the engine to misfire.keep posted.

Hows the A/c cooling? F46 is a a/c refrigerent problem.. If its at the right level, it could cause the a/c compressor to rapidly turn on and off, causing a surge feeling.

it sounds like you have a bad catalytic converter or a bad miss fire . Is the check engine light on ? What year vehicle is it how many miles are on it ?

200 lincoln engine problem


I was having the same problem between 40 and 50 as well as the miss fires after changing a coil that was miss firing one it reached running temp. the problem vanished so check your coils.
