Hi I bought a used volve about 6 months ago. Lately when I use the ac the far left vent blows out warm air and it also is not blowing out as cold of air as it used to. I was going to add some more freon and the gauge that came with the can does not fit the valve. Is there a certain size i need to get?

The 2 vents on the drivers side have warm air blowing out. ... You probably replace the wrong switch. I believe the high pressure switch is mounted in the back of the compressor. Pull the plug and jump it. If it works, replace the switch. I don't recommend you leave the jumper in the plug. If it the A/C pressure is to high, you could blow lines and such. Costing you a lot of money.

These vehicles came with 2 types of ac controls.
The vacuum control system uses vacuum to actuate the vents and ducting from hot to cold. A lot of times the HVAC vacuum line in the engine bay (black hard plastic) is either broken or disconnected from its vacuum source.
The electronic vent control: does everything at the control knob via vent actuators and the control panel itself. With this one it could be any of the components. You would have to locate them and verify operation by moving temp/vent selector.

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

Usually a sign of a faulty blend door under the dash.
The blend doors direct air thru the ac and heater core along with the upper and lower vents.

There is a recall that has something to do with the air/heat system in 2005 Dodge Grand caravans. Recall F01. Here is a link. I had mine done two weeks ago, cost me nothing. My air conditioner was overheating.

Check and replace the right side temp-controller.

My 1999 limited does this. When i bought it off the guy he said that its because of some flap down by the passengers left foot. In mine the passenger air barely even blows because of this.
