Question about 1990 Ford F150
There is no idle adjustment on these trucks, the computer controls it, or at least tries to. A very common problem is for the intake plenum gasket to leak and the extra air causes a high idle. Get a can of aerosol carb cleaner and spray it along the length of the intake, usually near the back, you'll find a spot where the idle changes a lot. This will confirm the gasket leak. You will need an extra long t40 torx head driver to remove one of the center plenum bolts that's only accessible through the top of the plenum.
