This definitely sounds like a shorted wiring....as the Airbag system, electrically does not have anything to do with the cooling system they are two different systems on the car......

For example, sometimes, you may have issues with the cruise control and the accelerator...as these systems have something in common.,....

My suggestion is to have an automotive electrician check this out, as the airbags are a safety feature, and I cannot advise over this type of service on how to check or what to check of the airbag system...........

Alternatively, you can go to to an auto parts store who can check trouble codes for free to give you an indication on what directioin to take, as every time the airbag light comes on, it registers a trouble(fault) code that can assist in diagnosis...

Good luck

This is a tough one and got me thinking. Your can, I am sure will support CAN-BUS technology. This could be where the fault lies, the Red & the White twisted CAN-BUS wires have a fracture / break causing polarity / voltage issues.

A/C and SRS have no relation at all other than I suppose they rely on good, level voltage so maybe look at what the altenator is kicking out, it should be between 14.2 & 14.7v if out of range then bingo.

I would take your car to a Jeep dealer, say that a tech consultant has advised you to do so as it is in their best interests to identify any strange SRS issues incase there is
need for a major recall. Make them aware you do not wish to pay for this privilege, you are just trying to make them aware of what could be a design fault with their product.

Not really an answer but lots of advice

Kind regards

Lloyd

2001 Jeep Wrangler heater blower stopped working

Yes I would go with the switch, BUT, does it have a resistor bank? That is, how does it reduce the speed? Many systems use resistors to lower the speed. Burnt or bad connections can cause this as well.
You can test the blower motor by connecting direct power from a source like the cigarette lighter if you are handy.
Most of the time the lower speeds konk out but the high speed continues to work this is the resistor bank that goes out.

My 2003 jeep wrangler AC/heat fan doesn't blow any air out.

You can test both of them once you have it apart. I have given you instruction below. Please follow them as injury could result.

REMOVAL
WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE BATTERY NEGATIVE (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

CAUTION: Stay clear of the blower motor and resistor block (Hot). Do not operate the blower motor with the resistor block removed.

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the glove box from the instrument panel (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/GLOVE BOX - REMOVAL).
Pull out the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector to unlock the connector latch (Blower Motor Resistor Block- Typical).
Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and disconnect the connector from the resistor.
Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor block to the HVAC housing.
Remove the resistor block from the HVAC housing.

Heater blower switch only works on high

I'd replace blower resistor, usually found under hood on firewall on passenger side, or on duct work, inside under dash on passenger side, close to blower motor.
