The idle speed is computer controled, it is not adjustable, you most likely have sludge in the throttle valve and the idle speed control air bypass valve, clean them with carb spray with the engine running.

Solution 1 is incorrect, The battery is under the passenger footwell Oh ****! plate. It is not recommended to jumpstart as you can fry some sensitive electrics.

possibly heater hoses or engine coolant hoses get them looked at A>S>A>P as your repair billcould be horrendous,check that the clamps are tight should be straightfoward fix,get any knowledgable friend to look for the answer if youre not sure dont drive it tillits fixed or youll cook the engine

More than likely the low idle you are experiencing is caused by a dirty IAC valve located right under the throttle body itself. It needs to be cleaned out with carb cleaner. Remove the electrical connector, the two vacuum hoses, and two screws. To put it back, use a little sealant to seal it before screwing it back together but do not get the sealant inside the IAC valve. If this 4 Runner is a V6, you may need to replace the spark plugs if old. Make sure to purchase twin electrode NGK or Denso spark plugs and gap them to .043 with a gapper.

Time to open up the cluster and check for bulbs being out, or a shorted wire. Do the dials and gauges still work, and is there a dimmer on your model. I remember the older Ferrari's' having a dial type dimmer, you may have moved it to the lowest setting that would make them appear off.

Ferrari 360 will not rev above about 1500 rpm. Cold weather around 40 degrees F, but even after the car idled for 10 minutes warmed up to 200 degrees F engine temp the car would not rev above 1500. When...

without my greasy hands under the bonnet its hard to say but dont be scared of it just because it say ferrari on the front its still made by fiat and uses a lot of common parts ,now what i would do here is to test the mass air flow sensor with my automotive tester to see what happening and if the voltage is varying as it reved up before i start to even think about changing anything ,if this sensor is faulty then its not measuring the right air flow which will not allow petrol to be injected through the injectors hence its not picking up and i think it may be the cold weather thats affecting the sensor in some way ,remember warming up the engine will not make the sensor warm as it still has cold air being drawn in through the inlet pipe

How to change a timing belt on 2003 ferrari 360 spider

The 360 has an access panel behind the seats. To get to the panel the interior trim behind the seats has to be entirely removed. Assuming that you have changed belts before, as an interference engine with tight tolerances, you can not be off one notch without destroying the engine.
the tensioner pulleys should be replaced with the belts. you can spin the bearings to check them but after all the work getting there I would replace them. tension is set through eccentrics.

The most common reason for this is low hydraulic fluid. The noise is probably the pump running while empty. When fluid id present it dampens that noise. Behind the rear seat is the combination motor/pump/reservoir. With the top in the DOWN position, fill the reservoir with ATF and cycle the system a few times as far as it will go. Repeat until the reservoir will take no more fluid. If that works, it is only a patch fix. You must now inspect the lines, motor and cylinders for leaks. The fluid does not evaporate. Need to find ECU reset switch on 04 Ferrari 360 spyder

Open the bonnet area, you will find the master switch on the upper left area, turn it OFF (right). After one minute, put the ignition in POS 2 without starting the car, leave for 30sec, start the car BUT leave idle for 10 minutes.

Ferrari 360 dead battery

Correct, the battery is in the passenger footwell under the aluminum plate. It is perfectly fine to charge the battery here, but it is not recommended to jump start. Also, it is possible to get in the trunk without having power. There is an emergency release pull tab under the drivers side dash. Quite easy to use, actually I normally use this in lieu of the normal electric release.

Replace the timing belt

It is recommended to replace both the timing belt and the tensioner bearings every 30,000 miles for the models you listed. Other models like the 360 Modena are best replaced every 3 years. The cost (parts and labor) to replace the timing belt on both the Ferrari 308 and 328 will run about $3,000. The Ferrari 348 will cost a bit more at $4,000. No Ferrari is inexpensive to maintain. However, the 308 and 328 will be the least expensive for basic maintenance. Furthermore, if you plan to drive under 2,500 miles per year (or 5,000 miles - 2nd tier), you can insure the car as a collector's vehicle and pay a much, much lower insurance premium.
