Hi!!

Just follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the motor, the part where the hose connects to on top of the motor, is the radiator housing, remove the two fastening bolts and the housing to get the thermostat.

Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

MY A/C WORKS PROPERLY HOEVER THE HEATING SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING. AIR COMES OUT BUT IT'S COLD. WHAT SHOULD I BE LOOKING INTO?

a stuck or broken thermostate would do that if the moter temp takes a really long time to warm up the thermostate is stuck open and needs to be replaced if the moter warms up to fast or over heats the thermostate is stuck shut and needs to be repalced. the heater core its self could be plugged and may be fixed by back flushing with water if you do it your self flushit seperate from the moter to prevent what ever may have plugged it from re-entering it.

I do not have enough heat in my 1994 dodge ram truck

I expect the thermostate is stuck partially open not allowing the engine to come to proper temperature. Replace the thermostate found under the goose-neck (follow the upper hose back to the engine) under this piece is the thermostate. Be certain to clean all of the old gasket material away and use a new gasket. Watch to be ceratin the thermostate is not put in upside down, if this happens your issue won't be not enough heat but over heating.
I hope this may have been of help,
Tom

Can't locate thermostate

The drivers side of the engine block behind the alternator. It is not necessary to remove the alternator to replace the thermostat. You will have to remove the ecm.

Over heating

The water pump has what's called a 'weeping hole' built into it. If the pump is bad You'll se water coming out of the hole. When was the last time you flushed the radiator? It may be your radiator cap is bad, they should be changed once a year & the radiator flushed. You can also test ur thermostate. take out ur thermostate & put it in a pot of water so that the water covers the thermostate. Then put a cooking thermometer in the pot to & heat the water til it says 195. u should see the car thermostate begin to open. if it don't it's bad & needs replacing.

I need to change thermostate

first make sure you have the right a mount of anti-freeze in it first and there is no air bubbles in the systems but to change the thermostate follow the upper radiator back to the engine and for the most part it only has 3-screws holding it make sure the engine is cool and that way you do not lose all of your anti-freeze and put the new thermostate in the same way the old one was.

My lumina is geting hot because the water dont circulate

ONe of two things, your thermostate has gone bad or the water pump is bad. Regardless if your are going to change your water pump, it's a goos thing to change your thermostate too. Good luck.  The water isn't that hard to change on the 3.4 but the thermostate can be a pain.

How to change out thermostat in 1991 buck centry 3300

your thermostate is probably on the block sideways in whitch case you need to remove the air filter outr of your way and loosen the clamp on the thermostate housing. from there take out the 3 bolts holding the thermostat housing in place and remove it. Caution water/antifreeze will come out. take the thermostate out watching where the gasket has been placed and install the new one after cleaning the suface of the old gasket. sometimes it is good to use indian head gasket sealer. there will be 2 bolts on top and 1 bolt on the bottom under the housing. install the new thermostate tightn the hose replace your filter and fill the over flow resivor only to the point on COLD MAX. take the cap off the radiator start the car wait for the thermostate to open and fill the raditor the rest the way up. if it starts to boil over just shut the car off and let it cool than add more water *** needed...
