The wipers on the car stay on if the fuse is in but will not work with the switch. we have to take the fuse off for the wipers to stop. 1990 Dodge Dynasty

There is a parking circuit in the motor which allows the motor to shut itself off after it lowers the arms to the rest, parked, position even after you have shut off the wiper switch. Sounds like that circuit has gone bad so a new wiper motor is in order. Sometimes these are easy to get at and sometimes they are a real *itch, take a search on for someone pulling the wiper motor on any late 80s or early 90s Chrysler product, they will all be about the same; or buy a repair manual on CD over on eBay.

I recently purchased this vehicle and mostly everything works... lights, windows etc. But the wipers dont work at all.. not the fuse. what should i check next?

I would check to see if you are getting power to the wiper motor. If not, the switch maybe bad. If you are getting power to the motor, the motor maybe bad.

1993 Dodge Dynasty. Wipers stopped working. Replaced fuse. Still not working. Replaced Body Control Module(BCM) located inside kickboard(passenger side). Still not working. Tried a second BCM, didn't...

BCM's are part number specific to your particular vehicle so unless you got from a dealer and had the dealer flash it for you none will work.

Caravan's had the same problem with their bcm's

Did you test the motor to see if it was working before you got the bcm's?

Did you test the wiper motor switch?

Also test the wiper motor relay.

When wipers are on they do not move but you can

If you can move the wipers freely all the way across the windshield then they have either come unhooked from the wiper motor aor the transmission in the wiper motor is stripped. You will have to take the motor off the firewall to check because they are attached on the back of it. Normally the wiper arms are attached to the wiper motor by a nut or sometimes a clip. If that is intact the transmission is bad and the wiper motor will need to be replaced. If the nut is loose or missing tighten it up and check the wipers before you put it all back together to be sure they work. Use a lock washer if you can do this to keep the nut from coming off again. Hope this helps.

I did a motor swap on my 1992 dodge dynasty with the 3.3 L V6 I have a 4 speed automatic my car will stay in second gear and occasionally into first but will not shift

You need to have the Transmission Control module scanned. You might have a bad speed sensor or maybe you forgot to plug one of them back in? You have checked all of the plugs to the transmission?
