Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Trying to replace automatic adjusters on rear brakes for a 1997 chevy z-71 k1500...the hole in the adjuster pivot point is too big for the mounting pin...what am i doing wrong?

you might have the wrong kit. They are starting to get bad with drum brake parts. Do you have the old pins? There are 2 holes at the top--one for the return spring and one for the adjuster pivot, right? And the pin goes in the lower of those 2 holes, right?

same thing happens to my 1996 chevy z71.. it just happens because of the age...newer cars use censors so spashing doesnt cause the bobber in the tank to move up and down..

I have a 1997 chevy suburban k1500 and when in 4 wheel drive i hear a clicking sound from under the floor

That could be a number of issues with your transmission, the u-joints on the front driveshaft, or the transfer case. Get it checked out. Good Luck.

HOW DO YOU CHANGE REAR BREAK PADS ON A 1997 CHEVY SUBURBAN?

Unlike the front pads where you only have to push the caliper piston in to replace the pads, the rear caliper pistons have to be turned clockwise to screw them back in.Hint: only go as far as nessesary to get the pads to clear the rotor as this is also the adjustment for the emergency brake.Good luck,

Brake lights do not work

This is a well documented problem, replace the turn signal/multifunction switch to correct this issue, this very problem happened on my GMC, it is a 99 as well, replaced the switch as instructed by a chevy forum member and it fixed the problem
