Worst case would be a engine connecting rod knock, from lack of oil. Check oil.

But there are lot of possibilities. Something may have just come loose and opened a vacuum line or disconnected a wire.

You need to open the engine compartment, look around, check fluids, listen, and tell us more details. Too vague.

I have a 1999 5.4 f150 4x4 loud knocking started on passanger side also guages all pinned and bounced around truck runs rough and stalls what could it be

it sounds like a critical internal failure is eminent . if the oil pressure is ok,it could be a bent or broken valve as the exhaust leak can let the valves cool to fast and warp. however it sounds more critical than that. do a compression test on that side and see if the #'s are consistent.

95 4.6 LTR. V-8 was driven through deep standing

Loud knocking is usually a "bad sign". If water got into the engine, and you tried to start it, you could have bent or broken rods. That's a major engine repair.

Loud knocking (sounds like lifters) and blueish smoke from tail

Sounds like head gasket trouble. Thicker oil seems strange thing to do.

Hi, this is not the first time i've heard of this problem..I have repaired engines with rod knock, crank bearing knock and piston slap after these treatments. These products can clean so much carbon and varnish from the engine that it brings the real internal problems to the surface. Try using thicker oil

01 1.8t stalled now make crazy noises and leaking coolant

Sounds like you have a broken motor mount and the motor is now moving around in the engine compartment because there is less now to hold it in place. That's probably why coolant is leaking- broke a hose somewhere.
Not a real big deal- an honest mechanic should repair the mount for you for a reasonable price- I would guess around 100.00. Don't dump the car for this. It can be fixed!!!!
