Question about 2006 Hyundai Tucson

1 Answer

Hi good day, i have a 2005/2006 Hyundai Tucson. I does not have on factory wheels (i had them change to 18" wheel) i recently had the tires change & immediately there was a constant vibration where the vehicle would shake constantly, them stop for a while then again & again as i drive for about 4 weeks now, some times it almost feels like the wheels would lock up & the vehicle would slide quickly then stop. I know that there's sensor on all four wheels, so what could cause this problem? Please inform me of the cause of this kind of problem & how it can be corrected & prevented in the future. Thanks Much In Advance. Larry

Get the tyres balanced asap.properly.that means up/down/sideways.(dynamically).you should never run a car with unbalanced wheels/tyres.

Need to find the low pressure sensor on my 2005 hyundai tucson

there are two things to look at. there are 4 sensors and one controller. the sensors are in the wheel and can only be removed after removing the tire from the wheel itself. there is a small controller that sends the barometric pressure (via infrared) to the controller. The controller is located under the dash on the center consul. the dealership can provide a more detailed location and should do this for free....

Good luck,

Doesn't sound right, unless wheel is damaged bent/cracked. A cheap fix would be "fix a flat" (sealer in a can) in each tire just as a safety precaution. Also check your tire valves sometimes tire shops don't get the valve cores tight.

Very dull steering feel, wheel stays turned even as i slowly rev

Camber and caster settings are off. Have 4 wheel alignment done by a good shop and save your nice tires. Out of alignment will make steering feel heavy and wear tires fast!

I want to buy a 2008 Hyundai Tucson wheel (rim) for use as a spare. Where can I get one from?

If you're looking for a spare, try checking a junk yard/wreck yard (cheapest bet),depending on where you live, check the local auto listings (In my area we have the Smart Shopper where people list various things, spare tires included) otherwise if you want to buy new contact your local Hyundai dealership.

My boyfriend bought his jetta without a manual, he popped a tire 4 days ago and has been driving around on the donut. I wanna buy him new tires, but don't know what size to get

It is hard to say what size tire you need.First thing we need to know is the size of the rim or wheel you have on the car now.You can get this information from the side of the tire on the car.
The factory size : 15"-wheel
195/65R15 - 205/60R15 16"-wheel
205/55R16 - 215/50R16 17"-wheel
225/45R17 - 235/40R17 18"-wheel
225/40R18
