horn fuse is blown, locate fuse box, sometimes there are 2 , one in car and 1 under hood, engine compartment.
use your cars manual to see horn fuse and replace with same fuse.
If the fuse is burned out, replace it. Try the horn again. Check your car owner's manual for the location and type of fuse. Check whether there is any debris obstructing the horn button on your steering wheel that may be preventing the horn from sounding

How do I repair horn in the steering column

What is the problem with the horn. Check Fuse for Horn. Check Horn it is located under the bonnet. Near the front grill of the car. Check relay for horn most likely also located somewhere in engine compartment in a plastic box compartment with numerous relays. If horn not sounding should hear relay click when horn button pressed.
If horn is getting voltage at horn plug (positively switched horn design) then horn may need replacing. If negatively switched then horn connects to body of car when button pressed and other side of circuit has Plus 12 volts always on it.

Where is the fuse for my horn located

The fuse you are looking for is in one of the fuse panels located in the engine compartment. There is an upper and a lower fuse panel in the engine compartment. Below is a picture of inside the engine compartment for the 3800 engine but if you have the 3400 engine it is in the same location. The panel you want is the one marked "D" with a line going to it. Below is also a diagram of the fuse layout. The fuse for the horn or horn relay is the one marked "HORN RLY" the horn relay itself is the relay marked "HORNS". This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you do not have an owners manual and would like a copy, you can email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. Don't worry there will be no cost for it. I hope this helps and good luck.

2001 f-150 ford pick up truck . horn will not work

Did you check the fuse for the horn ? Engine compartment fuse panel, fuse #7, 20A

You can pull the horn relay, and jumper the normally open contacts to see if the fuse, horn and grounds for the horn are in working order ( this operates the horn without needing to use the horn button ).
The Horn relay is a half size Ford ISO relay in the engine compartment fuse panel ( check your owners manual to locate relay 206 ).

Diagram to jumper the horn relay, with this in place, the horn should sound as long as the jumper is in place

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

My horn on my 2005 silverado sounds muffled is there a way to fix or adjust it and where is the horn located?

the horn is located in one off two place in front of the radiator/core support or in the fender. If it is in front of the core support , you may have to remove the plastic cover to view it. Most times when there is a muffled sound it is because there are usually two horns a high an low and on has failed or corroded. No matter what style you have check for corrosion, because it weakens the strength of the horn. I hope this helps

Horn do not work

If the horn doesn't sound, check the horn fuse in the power distribution center located in the engine compartment. If the fuse is blown, replace it and retest. If it blows again, there is short circuit in the horn, or wiring between horn and fuse block.

Horn is located under vehicle on the front side of the vehicle between fender and front bumper.

under the hood in the fuse box all the big square ones are the relays. activate the horn again then remove them one at time to locate the horn relay, when found rotate with known good one. If this doesnt locate the problem the then problem is in the steering wheel.

Horn does not work 1998 Chev blazer

It sounds like a problem with your horn relay or fuse...

When looking for relays, the most common spot is in the relay fuse compartment under the hood, either near the battery OR near the firewall2.gif in most instances.

However when troubleshooting2.gif any electrical problem, checking all fuses in both the passenger and engine compartment is crucial before moving on.

Use your owners manual or a Haynes or Chilton manual to determine which fuse is resonsible for which circuit or the information is usually located on the inside of either compartment cover
