Question about Toyota Camry

1 Answer

When I turn on my headlights they don't always come on. If I open the hood and jiggle the wire they'll come on. But once I'm driving and if I hit even a little bump, they turn back off.

Look at the connection, where you jiggle the wire's, that where the problem is at, just a bad connection, clean and make a better connection.

Replace a 2004 headlight light bulb

The Head Light Bulb, can be removed from the back of the headlight under the hood, you'll have limited space to work, but reach in to the back of the assembly, you'll feel a couple wires that go to the bulb socket, you'll need to pull back a rubber boot over the bulb socket, and very easy turn the whole socket until it releases from a wire hold down, and pull it out, remove bulb from wiring socket and replace it just the reverse way you took it out, DON'T touch the Bulb its self with your fingers. Ck the number on the Bulb replace it with a Compatable Bulb.

I have a 2000 jeep tj with140000 while on my 20 min drive to work it will stall, like someone just turned off the ignit it restarts right away, but it happens once or twiceaday

A clogged fuel filter and or impurity's in the fuel system, would be my first guess. So fill your tank completely up with fuel 88oc or higher, and add a bottle of (Lucas gas treatment) note: Be sure it's the treatment not injection cleaner. Then drive it 5-10 miles if your issue continues check the fuel filter for blockages and if it is gummed up replace it. And if problem still persists afterwords let me know we'll go from there.

The car's head lights do not always come on when turning the switch the first time. Some times the switch must be jiggled several time to have the lights turn on. Occassionaly the lights will turn...

It sounds like either you have a loose wire on your switch or the switch is bad. Make sure you mark each wires position so that you know where on the new switch it goes.

One trick I use is to use different colors of nail poilish. If I don't have enough colors, then I use different number of dots on the switch and on the wire.

Cobalt 2005 ls headlight bulb replacement

Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • 9007 LL halogen headlight bulb
  • Wrench
  • Gloves or clean rag
  1. Step 1 Set the parking brake and remove the keys from the ignition to ensure your Chevy Cobalt won't roll while you're replacing the headlight bulb.
  2. Step 2 Open the hood by pulling the hood release latch located under the instrument panel on the driver's side of the car. Locate the secondary release latch on the front of the hood at the center, slightly towards the driver's side. Slide the latch to the left to release the hood and raise it.
  3. Step 3 Locate the headlight assembly and remove the bolts by turning them counterclockwise. Set the bolts aside in a safe place, so you won't misplace them.
  4. Step 4 Remove the plastic fasteners from the headlight assembly molding. Carefully pull back the front fascia, or molding. You may need an extra pair of hands to perform this slightly awkward task.
  5. Step 5 Grab the headlight assembly and pull it towards the radiator at a slight angle to remove it. This should provide easier access to the headlight bulb and wiring harness.
  6. Step 6 Lift the plastic locking tab on the wiring harness to disconnect the bulb base. Then, disconnect the wiring harness from the bulb socket and remove the black retainer by turning it counterclockwise.
  7. Step 7 Disconnect the bulb socket by turning it counterclockwise. Remove the old bulb from the socket by firmly, but gently pulling it straight out.
  8. Step 8 Replace the old bulb with a new 9007 LL halogen headlight bulb. Put your headlight assembly back together by reversing the steps when you disassembled it. Use 89 inch-lb torque when retightening the headlight assembly
