When i turn off the jeep and the key is out of the ignition and the brake is on the car hicups forward :( what can i do to fix this prb? also how much to replace a transmission on a jeep?

This will need verification but I have seen this exactly once in over 30 years. What I believe is happening is that the computer is sending a signal to fire a spark plug at random on it's own. (never found out why but replaced the unit with one from a scrapyard and it never happened again.)
Try putting it in neutral with the brake on and wheels blocked, key off. and standing on the side (not in front) watch the engine and see what happens. Then do the same thing with it in park with key out. DO NOT STAND IN FRONT, and keep your hands out of the engine compartment while doing that.
If the engine "bumps" and you don't hear the starter engage, it's likely I'm right!

Awesome i will pass this on to my husbad and see what he can do about this. thank you so much for your help. i HOPE you RIGHT :) I spent to much to trade it in and start all over on payments again

Immediate fix. Turn engine off then put into park.

This going to sound strange but I bet your blower also not working when the happens. Your key is still in the "start"
position but not forward enough to engage starter. When this happens:
Slightly turn key back until it clicks into the run or on position.
It should do this all by itself when you let go of the key after starting, but as things age and wear they can stick.

How do i fix it when the switch is in off postion and the car is still running

the ignition switch is located on the bottom of the steering column. close to the brake pedal. your ignition switch is broken.

some of these electric interlocks require the brake pedal stepped on for releasing..have you tried that? along with shifting fully into park a few times?

Use a spare key if you have one, if not, have a locksmith cut you a new key, fresh cut key may work better.

The ignition tumbler has worn out.You probably need a new ignition tumbler and key. I replaced one myself recently. Should run 20 something dollars at any Auto parts. Make sure you read the installation instructions. shouldn't take long. Be patient and you can do it yourself...
