Question about Honda CR-V

1 Answer

Honda crv 1999 digital clock has stopped working. I have checked the fuse & it looks ok. Every now & then the clock comes on for a few seconds & then goes off again. My mechanic said it would cost about $400 to fix it so figured that wasn't worth it. ANy ideas as to what can be done to get it to stay on & show the time? thanks jane

The problem is an internal issue with the clock. There are several possible problems, sometimes it is bad wiring on the board itself. This is a very common issue with this clock. I offer a repair service with a life time guarantee. Check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
I also have removal instructions and tech info on several clocks and consoles there. Drop me a note if you have any questions

How do your replace the clock bulb on the CRV 2001

There is no bulb for the 96-01 CRV clock, it is LCD based. If the fuses are OK (radio working etc) then the clock module is defective. I offer an affordable repair solution, check out www.autoclockrepair.com. I have removal instructions there as well.

Where is fuse for clock in my Honda crv 1999? I can't find my manual.

The clock has 2 fuses that are shared with other accessories. Do your radio (relay box) and gauges work (fuse box #25)? If they work then the clock has gone bad internally. I offer a repair service and have the removal instructions at www.autoclockrepair.com
Check it out and let me know if you need further assistance, thanks!

My electronic clock honda crv 2001 dont work

I've seen the clock assemblies go bad on these models. Sometimes one or more of the digital segments will go out not displaying the time correctly or the whole display goes blank. There are two fuses in the clock circuit. Quick check: If your gauges on your dash work and your radio is working, your fuses are good. It also shares a ground with allot of other components. if you don't have any other electrical issues, your ground is also good. The clock will have to be replaced, unfortunately they are quite expensive and they're only available through Honda. -hope this helps.

Have a 99 crv. turn key over and vehicle is totally dead. checked battery, it is ok. thought a fuse may have gone bad but the fuse cover has mysteriously disappeared. any thoughts?

Check if lights or other electric items on the vehicle are also not working.
If all power is missing, re-check battery terminals for corrosion/loosness, including the battery ground chassis connection - if battery and connections ok, look for a blown in line master power fuse or fusible link.
Ensure power is present on the main power bus at the fuse/relay control panel.

Clock does not work. crv 1998

If it is not the fuse then it is most likely an internal issue with the clock itself. These clocks (and many other models) commonly burn out internally. I offer a very cost effective repair solution. Check it out!
