Sounds like a bad connection at the battery or a bad starter.

My VW golf TDi won't start since I changed my battery. It started fine for three days and now there is absolutely nothing there when I turn the key not even a click. Please help

1. Do all lights, accessories, central locking system etc in the car all operate normally.

2. Have you tested to see if the car starts when you try jump starting from another vehicle.

3. What warning lights were displaying on the vehicle a day or 2 before you had the problem.

4. Were you having the same starting problems with the old battery that you have just replaced.

Car won't start and starter is only making clunking noise

You can take out the spark plugs, keep track of your spark plug wire order, try to crank it over see if the engine turns over.

Check voltage on your new battery, some need to charge when new.

check for corrosion on the battery and starter cables.

My car won't start even after av changed the starter

are the cables and battery posts ok! jump start to see if you get enough power to turn starter over. if it starts, then it may be a bad battery. if car is running and at battery you should have at least 13.6 to 14.2 if alternator is ok. another test is to have car off, turn on headlights with meter on battery posts, if the voltage drops way down. its the battery thats bad. good-day !

Battery tests at 12 volts but won't start but starts with jumper cables to other car

battery should be showing 12,45 - 12.6 volts when car is standing still. also batteries getting old colects sulphate on plates ,this degrades the cold start performance. you can see that cranking amperage on stickers of batteries. for example 90 amperes 750 cca battery is required for my car but les wont crack it even it is 90 amperes but 640 cca. mainly lead acid or dry type batteries needs to be charged more than %40 of its capacity. 12 volts is only the ~%25 of its capacity and it seems yours is dead already.

I have a 2005 Ford Explorer 4X4 it won´t

Disconnect the battery ground for 15 minutes then reconnect it and try to start the engine. Did you mean to say you activated the starter solenoid? If you did, was the ignition key in the on position. If you are getting fuel and spark it should have started. Also, try to start the engine with the transmission in neutral. Find the starter relay in the fuse box and swap it with another relay to see if that helps. Check all the fuses for a blown fuse.
