REMOVAL OF STEERING WHEEL ON PAJERO 1999 HOW IS IT DONE

IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS ABOUT THIS, HAVE IT DONE BY A GARAGE THAT IS USED TO HANDLING AIRBAGS.
#1. center the steering wheel and remove the ignition key to lock the wheel and column. DO NOT undo it until the steering wheel is replaced. If the column moves the clock spring can be easily broken.
#2: Locate the airbag controller, and disconnect the yellow connector and fit a shorting pin. This is to ensure that the airbag does not explode.
#3. pull of the horn button, which exposes the airbag and (fragile and expensive) clock spring assembly.

#4. Remove the nut on the column. You may need a puller device if hitting the steering wheel does not release it.

Steering wheel removal

Disarm the Steering wheel SRS Airbag module by disconnecting the battery negative for 5 minutes, the remove the module bolts at rate of steering wheel with thin walled deep 8mm 1/4" drive socket. Next pull the airbag off the wheel and careful unlatch the connector lock and set the Airbag aside, then remove the lock ring and then the steering wheel nut on the steering sector shaft threaded end, you will now need a steering wheel puller to remove the pressed on wheel from the shaft. You can buy a puller from most parts stores for about $10.00

I have a '93 jeep cherokee and my horn doesn't work. I've checked the fuse and it's fine but now i don't know where to locate the horn itself to check for disconnections or to replace...

LOOK UNDER THE LOWER AIR DEFLECTOR FROM BELOW THE RADIATOR. IF YOU HOT WIRE CAR HORN AND IT WORKS.YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE AIRBAG IN STEERING WITH HORN CONTROL BUTTONS.YOU NEED TO DISABLE AIRBAG IN STEERING WHEEL WHEN REPLACING AIRBAG AND HORN CONTROL BUTTON PAD.JUST TURN OFF RADIO FIRST, THEN DISCONNECT REMOVE THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.WAIT 20 MINUTES BEFORE WORKING ON AIRBAG AND HORN PAD IN THE STEERING WHEEL.

00/01 Pontiac Bonneville. How do we get off the steering wheel?

Get a repair manual such as Haynes or Chiltons at a auto parts store to walk you through. Once you get the horn button off you will need a steering wheel puller. They sell them too.
I hope my suggestions helps and all the luck to you.

How do I remove the ignition switch on a 1999 chevy suburban?

Ok, start by disconnecting you negative battery cable. From there, wait at least 1 minute to disable your airbag system. You will have to remove the airbag from the steering wheel, it's retained by a couple bolts on the back of the steering wheel. Once you get the airbag out, disconnect the wires to it, and set it aside. Remove the clip that is above the lock nut for the steering wheel, then remove the lock nut. You need a steering wheel puller to pull the steering wheel off. After you remove the steering wheel, you should have access to the turn signal switch.

Need to check turn signal contacts in column,

Best thing to do, honestly, is to purchase a chilton's or haynes manual when you are working around the air bags. Better safe than sorry.

Remove me Steering wheel bmw 1999 e46 3 series

Disconnect negative battery cable. Locate airbag retentions on back of steering wheel. Unbolt or unclip retention devices, and release airbag. Then: Unplug airbag electrical connector. Remove nut or bolt in center of steering wheel with pneumatic impact wrench if necessary . Using appropriate steering wheel removal tool kit, carefully remove steering wheel, paying attention to associated wires, etc. Unplug anything not accompanying wheel, or that is in the way. Pay close attention to any rods, or contact pieces associated with the horn button(s.) Replace these upon reinstall. Reverse order to install including tightening center bolt to 35-55 ft-lbs. If this is your first stg wheel removal, try an old chevy, preferrably someone else's! If inexperienced, don't risk bruising your favorite Bimmer!!! Hope this helps you make your decision. Ignition switch replacement

You will need to remove the steering wheel, if you have an airbag disarm it, this is very important, disconnect the battery and unplug the airbag diagnostic monitor, then remove the large nut retaining the wheel to the steering shaft, you will need a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off, very cheap tool avail from most parts stores, after the wheel is off remove the turn signal switch and move it to the left, under that switch you will see the pin that retains the lock cylinder, it will be a cross point screw, remove it, with the key turned to on remove the lock cylinder.
