Remove door panel. locate studs from mirror. remove nuts from studs. remove mirror and any wiring to it.installation reverse of removal

there is a small set screw in the base of the mirror you will need to loosen this and then slide the metal plate out.

Mirror, Power — Outside Rear View NOTE: This procedure applies to both RH and LH power outside rear view mirrors.

Removal
  1. Remove the front door trim panel (23942). Refer to Section 01-05 for the removal procedure.
  1. Remove the two outside rear view mirror inside mounting hole cover screws and the outside rear view mirror mounting hole cover (17K709) from the front door (20124).




  1. Remove the wire clip.
  1. Disconnect the power outside rear view mirror electrical connector.




  1. Remove the three power outside rear view mirror bolts and the power outside rear view mirror.




Installation
To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the three power outside rear view mirror bolts to 3-4 Nm (27-35 lb-in). Glass, Outside Mirror

Refer to the glass replacement procedures in Manual Mirror for power outside rear view mirror glass (17K707) Trim Cover

My brother had the same problem with his pontic grand am, only it was the front windshield but all he had to do is get the proper weatherstripping and put it in. It solved the problem of rain leaking into the front pass. floorboard. I dont know if that will solve your problem but its worth a shot right???? Goodluck

You will have to remove the door panel, behind the triangle piece on the top right of the drivers side door panel you will see 3 nuts which hold the mirror in place. Remove the nuts and the mirror should come right off the door. Same on the passenger side.

Insert flat bladed screwdriver between outside rearview mirror holder and mirror actuator. Wrap it with tape. It should just pop off.

Looking for instruction on how to replace a driver's side view mirror (electronic)on a 1995 Ford Windstar.


this is a easy fix you need to take off the door panel a few screws and gently pop the panel off and unplug the speaker connection then you will seee to bolts holding the mirror on unscrew those the unplug the power mirror connector and put on new mirror

the door panel near the mirror must be removed if not the entire door panel inside u will find 3 nuts to remove to get the old mirror off. hope this helps please rate me
