We have a 1998 jeep laredo it runs good then all at once it will miss and die?

If the fuse is good, check for an open in the wiring harness.

It could be that your crank sensor needs renewing

run fault codes and check for MAF/MAP and VAF sensor problems

Hi Jose, I've never tried but if you go visit a breakers yard and compare the physical dimensions of both boxes and they match up, there is no reason why they should not. Most manufactures use the same units in a variety of models and if you've found a similar vehicle with identical uses the parts are most likely interchangeable. Regards John

Have the alternator and the battery tested as one if not both items may have gone bad.

What you are looking for is something that is turning off power. check ignition switch and connections at the computer (have you done any testing before changing parts?)

OK...if someone gives me a bad rating on this, I'll be really annoyed...
saw off the "fixed" hold-down on the distributor and use a chevrolet smallblock hold-down. Once re-installed turn distributor ccw about 1/4" or slightly more. If I'm correct, engine should run fine after that.
