Question about 1990 Plymouth Laser

1 Answer

1990 Plymouth Laser 2.0 Turbo-While changing my sparks plugs and wires, one of my neighbors came over to "help". I was taking them off one at a time to make sure I did it right (1st time DIY), but he pulled more than one. So if we go L to R where the wires meet the plugs and number them 1,2,3,4 and letter the spaces at the other end going away from the body as A,B,C,D, what would be the right number/letter combination.

Thank you for answering, but I think I was misunderstood. I am a female and new to this. I don't know what all the car parts are called, but I know It's a 5 speed manual. Where the plugs and wires connect, it is in this order from left to right,
    1 2 3 4

At the opposite end, there isn't a rotor to plug the wires in. The plugs go in a straight line from the front of the car to the windshield:
    A
    B
    C
    D

How should the numbers match up to the letters, so that they plugs are put in their proper place at both ends?

I have a 1990 Laser RS Turbo. Won't start, no spark at plugs but spark at coil. I hear a rapid clicking sound behind the radio on the passenger but all the time. When I try to start it it just turns...

normally a quick clicking sound means that the battery is low in voltage and amperage, but first check your connectors and the battery posts to make sure they are clean and secure. if you have a tester, check for voltage at the battery, you should be getting 12 volts or more.if you have 12 volts+,turn on the headlights and test the battery to see if it is retaining 12 volts or not, this is known as a load test. if voltage falls rapidly your battery should be changed.if it holds charge pretty well, than put thr battery on slow charge overnight and retry starting the vehicule.nb. the clicking noise is caused by the onboard computer that reads the voltage before startup and under 11.5 volts your car will make this sound.if your car starts put the tester on the battery again and check voltage,it should be 13volts or higher which means your alternator is charging the battery.

My 1990 plymouth laser rs 2.0 liter turbo will start but dies if im not on the gas if i stay on the gas i can drive it but its slow to get up

This could be any number of things unfortunatley. I'd start with fuel pressure. Check the pressure. It could possibly be your fuel pressure regulator.
