In the 91 toyota camry there is a button you you

Its time for a new cylinder lock/ key. try a spare key and see if its also hard to start,if so try sparying a little wd 40 into the lock and then work the key and turn off and on a few times, maybe the tumbler are just sticking but if this doesnt work then the lock will have to be replaced. its a matter of time before you get stuck and also its more labor time to replace that cylinder when the key wont turn anymore. hope this helps.

'97 E420 ignition switch will not turn

Stop with the WD-40 insert your key pull down on the left of your wheel slide key up & down slightly then try to turn key if this does the trick, Your tumblers in the ignition are worn down some. Instead of the WD-40 try Graphite ask at a hardware store or locksmith.

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry , and I cant get the locks open or the ignition started immediately. I have to stick the key in either of these a number of times before it unlocks the doors, or the car starts....

Try spraying some WD-40 or similar in key slots & work the key in & out after to see if it helps. Do you have another key you can try to see if it's the key?

When key is the ignition it wont turn.I tried moving the steering wheel side to side to see if it would turn and nothing.I tried the spare key for the ignition and had the same problem.

It sounds like you have a key tumbler issue. Try spraying some WD-40 into the cylinder then blow it out with canned air, it should free up the tumblers for you.
Good luck, let me know.

2000 Toyota Camry - car ignition seems to be jammed or keys worn - has a transponder key just won't turn Hi I have now had 2 ignition switches replaced within 2 years. Is it truly so easy that all I have...

Very Very Common Do You Have A lot Of Keys On Your Key Ring? Excess Weight Will Cause Premature Ignition Wear. Try Spraying wd-40 On The Key And Inserting Over And Over Then Spray Again It Could Help Your Problem.

2003 Ford Focus ZX5 Steering Wheel column locked...key goes in but does not start the car....can't move wheel... Wheel is not straight....will not move even if totally locked....up..

All you need is two inexpensive things to fix this. 1. Hammer and 2. WD-40. First, put the key in the ignition and tap it with the hammer. (this should unlock the steering wheel and the iginition) Second, spray some WD-40 in the key opening on the ignition, then put the key in again and proceed to tap it some more with the hammer. (WHEN I SAY TAP THE HAMMER I DO NOT MEAN HIT IT WITH FULL FORCE)... Any who keep put WD-40 and tapping it until you can turn the key without the help of the hammer... (should be at least 4 times) THE PROBLEM IS THAT WITH TIME DEBRI BUILDS UP IN THE IGNITION, AND THIS CAUSES THE STEERING TO LOCK UP WHEN YOU PLACE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THE HAMMER UNLOCKS THE SPRINGS IN THE IGNITION AND THE WD-40 CONVERTS THE DEBRI TO LIQUID SO IT CAN CLEAN THE IGNITION...
