The MAF sensor (Mass Air Flow) is located in the air induction system between the throttle body and the air cleaner assembly, and if replacing the MAF sensor be certain that there are no loose hose clamps or any air or vacuum leaks in the air induction system, especially between the throttle body and the MAF sensor, and be sure to install it tacing in the proper direction. Here are some images to help assist you.

The IAT sensor (Intake Air Temperature) is the small sensor that is located in the air induction system between the MAF sensor and the throttle body (usually right behind the MAF), and on some models (should not be your vehicle) it is screwed into the intake manifold behind the throttle body. Here are the images of both types.

It should be attached with the MAF sensor at the air cleaner assembly, what is the year and engine?

Fig. ECT sensor location-3.7L, 4.7L engines.

icn_arrow.gifBack to Top Inspect/Test/Replace Because ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor procedures vary depending upon their location, first locate the part. You may need to partially drain the engine coolant to prevent coolant spillage.

  • Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  • Unplug the ECT.
  • Then, unscrew it.
  • Reverse the removal procedures to install the new part.
  • Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.

Location of cam sensor 2003 jeep grand cherokee v8

The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 4.7L V–8 engine is bolted to the front/top of the right cylinder head (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).

It is easier to remove/install sensor from under vehicle.

Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect electrical connector at CMP sensor (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).
Remove sensor mounting bolt (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).
Carefully twist sensor from cylinder head.
Check condition of sensor o-ring.
See picture for sensor location.

Where do i locate the chassis number on 1997 volkswagen jetta gt 2.0 cause i need to buy timing belt and componet kits engine code B

Hi. On 4-cylinder engines, the engine identification number is stamped into the block near the crankcase breather or upper coolant hose fitting. On VR6 engines, the identification number is located directly above the crankshaft pulley, at the top of the cylinder block. The first two (or in the case of later engines, three) digits are the engine code and will be the most useful description of the engine when locating specifications or ordering parts.

Now, if you are trying to locate the vehical VIN, this is on the left side of the dashboard, visible through the windshield. On Golf and Jettas, a second plate is located on the top of the cowling behind the engine.

I had the same problem a couple of years ago. It is actually located on the bottom of the engine. I have no clue why. They are usually located on the top for easy access. Follow the hose coming from the bottom of the radiator to the engine block.
