This problem is caused by the display failing, it requires the speedometer/cluster assembly be removed and sent out for repair, the cost is about $169, below is a repair facility that fixes these clusters, they can provide a shipping container and detailed instructions on removing the cluster.

i would recommend first verifying your linkage is properly adjusted. once you know your good there than you know its most likely an internal issue with the transmission. unfortunately one of the worst things you can do to a used transmission is have it flushed (unless this has been a part of the vehicle regular maintenance since new) this usually causes particulant matter to break free and clog the servos, lines and valve bodies along with the filter itself. if you havnt already you might try replacing the filter (usually about a $20 kit and 1 hr of time) however if the transmission is having internal issues there is no such thing as a cheap fix in most cases the issue could one of many and in general the best bet is a transmission overhaul or replacement transmission such as a low milage junkyard find.

13 mpg highway. 2003 2500 4x4 5.7 litre 94000 miles on it. is there some things i can do to help milage?

Unfortunatly there is not much room for improvement on these trucks. A tonnou cover helps, proper tire inflation helps as well. You can get a hi flow air filter like the K&N these help some. You can get a little better milage with the higher Octane gasolines but you have to pay more for the gas which is kind of a wash on this. 12-13MPH is about what I get regularly on my 06 2500 6.0ltr, 14-15 if the wind is pushing and I keep out of the gas. What gears are you using in the rear end. A gear change to 3.73 will improve milage but less power and the gear change is an expensive repair.

None of the information centers on my 92 seville work

You can get plates without mileage - just check box for "in excess of mechanical limits" - there is a box you can check for something like that I believe - sounds like the control module ....Pricey and common failure...Sorry I couldn't help more,,,,

Hi
Check engine codes could be map sensor or 02 sensor.
Check for vacuum leak at map sensor, causes high fuel consumption.
