Timing belts can cost anywhere from 20 bucks to about 200. It all depends on what kind it is, how much material is used and how good of a material it is.

Do I change timing belt 90k. And approx how much will the cost be

Timing belt change points vary, or at least the dealer recommended intervals do and can vary by 50,000 miles. The purists and the cautious say 40,000 miles for every timing belt but these days that goes a little too far.

The cost of the belt or the belt kit varies a lot from model to model.

The time a belt change takes also varies by a huge amount - from less than an hour to five or even six hours, consequently the cost can vary from making a hole in a week's wage to nearly wiping out a month's salary.

You should obtain a number of model-specific quotations from reputable local dealers and repairers, ensuring they have product warranty insurance in case something goes wrong.

How much should it cost to change a timing belt on a 2003 Ford escape

Considering that when you change a timing belt you ALWAYS change the water pump all seals/gaskets, timing belt idler gears, etc. many times that comes all together in a kit.
It can be an average cost of around $1100-1200, sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. The main cost will be labor, since it is a fairly time consuming job.

My car just all of a sudden over heated and I stopped and found out smoke coming from underneath the hood. I took it to the shop and they said it might be the just timing belt or the timing belt and...

timing belts dont make a car over heat. no water, water pumps and thermostats do. if the water pump is in with the timing belt, then I could see they're solution. If it is I recomend that you replace everything to do with the timing. belt, pullies ,tensioner ,water pump. this is labor intensive and you dont want to go back in in a couple of months and replace a pulley that was left and went bad the cost on this job is $500.00 to $700.00 depending on the cost of the parts

Is it normal to have to replace pulley, timing belt and fan belt in renault megane cabriolet after 5 years. How much do these spare parts cost? Have been quoted £750 parts and 6 hour labour costs.

Timing belt on 4 cylinder Renaults should be changed every 50-60000 Km. Consequence of not doing so is having the belt break, and damaging valves and valve lifters (extremely costly) . Replacing the belt is time consuming, and labor intensive. So while the belt is out, its is a good investment to replace pulley, belt tensioner/ roller bearing and water pump belt, which is nearby and has to be taken out anyway, for timing belt replacement. Meganes dont have fan belts, they use electric motors for this duty.

What else needs to be changed when doing a timing belt on a 1999 honda accord? and about how much should it cost?

Technically, nothing else needs to be changed when replacing a timing belt, however it is recommended or suggested to replace the timing belt tensioner and water pump while doing the belt. These items are only accessable when doing a timing belt. The cost should be under $100.00

Cost of fixing daewoo leguenza

what is the labor rate where u live, here it is $135.00 US per hour, the water pump is driven off the camshaft timing belt, a new timing blet idler pulley is also a must, so you will need a new timing belt also, it can't be used over
Water pump cost $80.00
Timing belt $20.00
Idler pulley for timing belt $35.00
Coolant $20.00
Labor 4 hours
so here in my area this would be $600.00 job

When to replace timing belt? what's the avg. cost?

I recommend 60-90K Cost depends on the dealerships labor but usually when your doing a timing belt, radiator hoses and fan belts are removed and should be replaced while your in there. Its about 3hrs, more if other things need to be replaced while in there. So you looking at $300+ for labor only

Timing Belt Repair Cost

Timing belt replacement should be about 30 dollars for the belt and 2-3 hours of shop time at whatever shop rate is in your location. Is your car still running? if it is, you definately want to have this done, if the belt breaks, valves in the cylinder head will be bent
