If it's just the small red brake light on the light panel then you just need to ad some dot 3 brake fluid to the reservior. when brake pads wear down they use more fluid in the cylinders within the calipers. you may need new brake pads.

What you are saying is the parking light on the left side does not work.
The parking and stop lights are on different circuits.
If you have replaced the bulbs the next step would be to check for voltage and ground in the socket.

If you mean the the foot lever wont release, look under dash at top of brake lever. There should be a release arm. Pull it and it will release, just keep your face and anything else you'd like to keep out of the way of the foot lever!!

Break light wont work,parking light does,replaced bulb,same thing

This Problem is in The PLUG itself that the BULB Connects to, Afteer Being Sure of No Corrosion in the Plug and Wire to it is In Tact then Replace the PLUG

I have a 2004 pontiac montana mini van and a red light came on it looks like a broken egg and the parking break light comes on with a ! what does this mean??

a door is open or rear hatch or the connection from the panel itself to the switch is not making the connection completely ..these things occur after a period of use as they wear it may even be the gas door ajar or the hood switch its letting you know something is not making a proper connection as well check all the fluid levels for proper sufficiency levels and make sure the parking brake pedal or lever is fully disengaged

Not what light you are referring to. Hard to picture it. does sound like a brake system warning. Be sure to check the brake fluid reservoir, it may be low on fluid.

When the wavy light is on with parenthasis around it and at the same time the (!) and (P) lights are on, this indicates a serious brake concern
