Question about 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The electric fuel pump in the fuel tank is "sticking" most likely, u can confirm this by checking the fuel pressure or spraying starting fluid (avil from any auto parts store for about $4) into the engine air intake when it is a no start, if the engine starts then u will need to replace the fuel pump, the pump is located inside the fuel tank, it will be ness to remove the fuel tank to access the pump for replacement.
