It's a two step operation. First step is tighten the bolts to 89 in-lbs Second step is rotate the bolts an additional 30-degrees. Make sure that as you're tightening the bolts that the pushrods are sitting properly in the rocker arms and that the tabs on the bottom of the rocker arm pedestals are seating properly in the grooves milled in the head.

Need torque on 1997 chevy tahoe 5.7 rocker arm torque

The rocker arms need to be adjusted, they are not set to a specific torque, they use self locking "crimp" nuts to hold the adjustment, these nuts should not be used over to hold the adjustment replace them.. With the lifters fully "pumped" up tighten the rocker arms to "zero" lash, the turn them in an additional 3/4 turn, you are done.

On the 3.1L engine in the 1999 Chevy Malibu, I need to install the intake and exhaust rocker arm and push roods.

The exhaust push rods are the shorter of the two, the intakes of course are longer. The rocker arms should have been keep in order removed but they are the same for intake and exhaust valves. Torque to the rocker arms to 13 foot pounds.
