Question about 1998 Ford Taurus
Mine stalled when I stopped and it was the Idle Speed Motor. If it only stalls when you stop, I would check that before messing with the fuel filter or pump.

When your 1998 Ford Taurus stalls when coming ot a stop, it is most likely the fuel filter or the fuel pump. To replace either you will need to depressurize your fuel line. This can be done by shutting off the fuel pump by using the feul pump switch in the back of the trunk. It will be a red button and be labeled fuel pump switch. Then turn your eninge on untill the car engine stalls. Now you can replace your fuel pump or/and fuel filter. The filter will go in one way so note the arrow on it. It will connect to the line on either end and be clamped to the frame. First replace the fuel filter and reset fuel pump and see if that solve the problem. If not then replace the fuel pump.
