The fan on a 1996 Acura RL will normally run for a short period after the engine is shut off if the temperature sensor determines the engine is too hot. However, if it is running constantly and not shutting off after you shut off your engine, then you will need to replace the fan relay. It is most likely stuck in a closed position. If your fan does shut off after running for a period of time when you shut off the engine but you have a noisy fan, then most likey the fan bearings are wearing out and it is more cost-effective to replace the whole fan. Thanks for using Fixya.

My 2000 acura tl runs fine while driving temp gauge never goes up but i have noticied the last 2 days that when i have been running my air it goes up when im stopped or parked what could the problem be

sounds like the fan may not be coming on,The electric fan
should run whenever the air is on,if you start it cold, then open the
hood the fan should be off, then turn on the air ,the fan should run a few seconds after that.
If it doesn't come on,could be a faulty pressure sensor on the ac ,
bad relay or the fan itself.

96 acura tl 3.2l is overheating+signals wont work

Start with the easy one (hopefully). You probably have to replace your turn signal flasher. It's located behind the dash, driver side of steering column in the relay block (just pull out to remove).
Your overheating problem: Are you losing coolant, or is the car just running hot? Any leaks, puddles?
Check the cooling fans to make sure they are kicking on as the engine temp rises. If not, you may have a bad switch that is not telling the fan to go on. If fan(s) are operating ok, check the thermostat. If it isn't opening properly, it could be the cause of the overheating. If you have a leak in the system, then when it gets too low, it starts to overheat. Many possibilities, So, let me know the answers to the above so I can help further if needed.
