Hi! Try swapping the PCM (powertrain control module). The left bank on the PCM may be faulty causing it to fail. The PCM is like a car's brain that if it's faulty the car won't perform well. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

What can cause my car not to start.?

must start unless there is a problem in the start circuit where there is no ignition circuit while starting ( ignition switch problem)
another problem may be excessive fuel to the cylinders from faulty injectors/ seals
if an engine has good compression, fuel/air mixture, right ignition timing right, correct firing order and the valve timing is correct , then the laws of physics demand that it fires
have you got all of those ducks lined up because if you miss any , it will not work

a Chrysler?
both heads or one?
what engine you got?. try posting that. and magic happens.
our blinders come off. then,,,,,
2.7 L EER V6
3.5 L EGG V6
5.7 L EZB HEMI V8
6.1 L ESF HEMI V8
3.0 L OM642 turbodiesel V6 and not even a year, are you kidding?????????
now my wild useless guesses: based on zilch inputs.
  1. you left off a cable. or hose.
  2. you failed to do a compression test to see if all that work did something. (warped head, no checked right is just that)
  3. spark dead, or wires.coils connected wrong, what engine,?
  4. fuse blown by not disconnecting the battery neg lug first.
  5. there is no oil pressure cranking and the car can detect that and cut spark , I ALWAYS check oil pressure and top end oil, cranking with fuel cut before light the fires of any new engine or major work, done many not one ever seized of mine, in 50years.
  6. back to basics, got compression, got spark all cyl, timed right , firing order right, and fueling got fuel?
  7. if spark is good, test fuel works ,does it?

Car shaking at idle, no engine check light

Sounds to me that you have a cylinder miss fire. Chrysler products generally set a code when a miss fire is detected. Does the shaking go away under a load (while driving) ? If the miss is always there I would focus on the ignition system and look for any vacuum leaks around the intake manifold area .

Nissan xterra 2002 2.5L engine 4 cyl engine just stopped turn key can hear fuel pump turn on and spark plug and wires there's spark also checked compression test cylinders are fine 150 psi each also...

with a compression of 150 psi the timing belt will be in the right place so that can be eliminated . you need 3 things to make an engine run they are compression ( which you have plenty of --- fuel you can hear the pump but are you getting pressure in the fuel manifold and lastly spark. So have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold top check for pressure regulator --pump/ filter faults . Next check for spark at a plug lead. Check that the injectors are working . Missing just 1 of the 3 will not run an engine.

You need to get a fuel pressure test on your fuel manifold. Since you've done the electric parts it's time to check for weak gas pressure. It can give you a miss-fire at one or more cylinders. The test is fairly simple but can eliminate a whole system early in the process. Next after this is a compression check which is more difficult and involved.

the number 6 cylinder is located (if you are looking at it from the front of the car) it is on the left side third cylinder back from the front. you probally have a bad injector that is just dripping fuel into that cylinder.

Fuel injectors or Distributor Cap?

the blinking CEL light is an indication of a miss-fire, run the code retrival test to find out what cylinder is the one missing, at your miles it could be almost anything from a low compression issue to a bad distributor cap, a fuel injector could be the problem, run the test and get back to me, Kragen and other chain parts stores will test the system for codes for FREE!
