Non shifting gear at L4x4 on 2003 grand vitara 2.7 automatic

this part time 4WD? option>?
are you on ICE, snow, dirt or pavement.
part time is not for pavement free of ice, you know that?

only AWD works on non iced pavement.

I have a 01 suzuki grand vitara w/automatic transmission it has trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd gear shifts kinda hard. on start up in mornings sometimes will disengages out of gear altogether

A/T tranny's are complex and expensive devices.
I bet , its never been serviced, right?
why not do a full flush with new filter, if the filter (inside) is clogged
only hot ATF flows, easy. and causes low pump pressures.

do not go to Jiphphy lube or Quick lube joints, as they do bad work. (half arsed work)
go to a real shop with real ASE tech that know how to
service (fully) any automatic. (yes, they drop the pan)

2001 suzuki grand vitari will not come out of park.

Try stepping on the brake when shifting from park to a running gear. There is a built in safety feature that only allows you to shift out of park when the brake is depressed.

My wife's 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara is starting to have problems shifting. Every time you depress the clutch pedal and try to put the vehicle in first gear from a stop position, the stick doesn't want to go...

Do the following:
-Check the clutch fluid,
-With the engine off make the trip from 1 to 5 gear,as if you were on the road
if it is okay
Let's go to the second step, With the engine running, do the same but keeping the pedal depressed , Does not engage any gear ?
-If the clutch fluid is OK , then The bearing of the output shaft is damaged or clutch release bearing

When i select reverse gear the engine cuts out, but if i remove a 10amp fuse from the fuse box under the driver's dash it stay's in gear and reverses ok but i lose the indicator's, why is this happening?

you need to check the wires from the shifting lever, when you put it at reverse a wire is caught at the mechanism creating a short circuit that makes it shut off the engine.

Stiff gears

You can try using synthetic gear lube, I have found it reduces shift effort by at least half when it is cold.
