Question about 2005 GMC Yukon

Open Question

My 2005 GMC Yukon A/C blows hot air on the passenger side only. The drivers side is okay. Is the dash control unit the culprit or is there something else that can cause this?

Duel zone climate control on passenger side blows hot air when turned down cold. Driver side works fine.


There is a temp door actuator motor that is not working for that side,the dash has to be removed and laid on the front seat to replace the actuator motor,

diverter is out of position for that specif duct. It may just be stuck. If vacuum controlled, make sure hose is in place and there is vacuum present Good luck _Ned_

2004 Yukon. driver side air conditioner not working


you need to change drivers side temp door actuator then disconnect battery for 5 seconds and reconnect after changing the part, turn key on for 60 seconds with touching heater control to allow actuator to program and then it will work.

you have a motor sticking and I do not eveny you taking it apart if you want directions to do this let me know and I can give you directions but it is a lot of work.

Changed batteries and climate control not working properly


The actuator has gone bad. They can be programed, and reset, but usaly they are bad, and that will only patch the problem for a while.

AIR CONDITIONER ONLY BLOWING COLD ON ONE SIDE AFTER DISCONNECTING BATTERY


Turn your AC off. Turn the car off Crank the car turn ac on drivers side to 60 passenger side to 90 press auto wait 1 minute turn AC off (very important) turn car off turn car back on switch driver's side 90 passenger 60 press auto wait one minute turn AC off( very important) turn car off turn car on AC 70 both sides press auto your ac should be blowing cold If not, you have an expensive problem
