The clutch in the Fiat stilo abarth selespeed uses the same fluid as the braking system. Just find the container in the engine bay with the braking fluid. LISTEN FOR HYDRALIC PUMP MOTOR OPERATION IN THE TRUNK AREA..IF YES YOU HEAR HYDRALIC PUMP MOTOR RUNNING MAKING A NOISE.CHECK HYDRALIC PUMP FLUID LEVEL BY REMOVING THE SCREW TYPE CHECK PLUG.PLACE RAGS UNDER THE CHECK PLUG.AND UNSCREW REMOVE THE CHECK PLUG. FLUID SHOULD BE 1/4 INCH BELOW THE CHECK PLUG HOLE.IF FLUID IS LOW ADD FLUID UNTIL FLUID LEVEL 1/4 INCH FROM THE PLUG HOLE.IF HYDRALIC FLUID WAS WAY LOW YOU NEED TO BLEED AIR OUT OF THE SYSTEM.MAKE SURE FLUID LEVEL CORRECT.START ENGINE AND TRY RAISING AND LOWER THE CONVERTIBLE TOP USING THE SWITCH.IF TOO MUCH AIR GOT IN SYSTEM.HAVE A HELPER WORK UP AND DOWN CONTROL SWITCH WHILE YOU MANUAL OPEN CLOSE CONVERTIBLE TOP BY HANDS BLEEDING AIR OUT OF SYSTEM.KEEP EYE ON HYDRALIC FLUID LEVEL WHILE BLEEDING THE SYSTEM..LOWER THE TOP AND TURN OFF ENGINE. When I step on the clotch it gets stuck and dosent come back out

REASON PEDAL GOING TO FLOOR YOU HAVE FLUID LEAK WHICH WILL CAUSE AIR TO GET IN THE CLUTCH HYDRALIC SYSTEM. YOU HAVE TO LOCATE LEAK FIX AND BLEED THE CLUTCH HYDRALIC SYSTEM.

Air in clutch line. how do you bleed the system?


1. Fill up the clutch reservior with right type and DOT of fluid (Dot 3 or Dot 4)
2. Have someone help pump the clutch paddle.
3. have the helper pump the paddle 5-7 time and hold it down and you open the bleeder and close it before the helper lets off the clutch paddle.
4. Keep repeating the above procedure until you see clear fluid coming out and no air is coming out with the fluid.

SHOULDNT HAVE TO FIX YOUR SELF.POSSIBLE CAUSE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER FLUID LEVEL.IF LOW CHECK MASTER CYLINDER SLAVE CYLINDER LINES FOR LEAKS FIX AND BLEED CLUTCH HYDRALIC SYSTEM.IF CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER FLUID LEVEL OKAY.THE CLUTCH DRIVEN DISC PRESSURE PLATE NEED ADJUSTMENT.I WOULD LET YOUR FACTORY WARRANTY FIX IT.YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING.JUST MAKE SURE FLUID IN CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER NOT LOW WHEN YOU TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP.IF THEY CHECK IT OUT FIND ANY KIND NEGLECT TO VECHICLE.THEY WILL NOT PAY.THEY WILL FIX BUT YOU WILL PAY OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE.

Where can i check the clutch fluid on my 5sped 1997 ford explorer


On the drivers side firewall near the brake fluid reservior you will find the clutch fluid reservior, a small black plastic cap will be on top of it.

Is leaking clutch fluid-put new clutch reservior on-still leaks


Depending on where the leak is you may need to replace the clutch master cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder. Or a line, the reservior is rarly the cause of a leak. If it is leaking into the car or at the firewall the master cylinder is bad.
