I just had my car battery changed inside of my car and my radio will no power up. Everything else on my car is functional and I have checked every fuse to make sure none of them shorted out during installation. What do I need to do to make it work again?

If u have a after market radio, there is a fuse in the back of the radio too. u should try checking that fuse as well.

This is a common problem; you need a code sequence to restore operation. This is and effective but troublesome anti-theft measure.
If you have a former Pontiac dealer in your area, take proof of ownership for the car with you, including the VIN and they should be able to procure the code and instructions for you. Some dealers have charged too much to help you get the factory stereo back and owners have just replaced them.

2006 nissan altima radio and clock have no power . all fuses inside car and under hood are good. I was told it was the battery but everything else is fine. Is this possible?

No. It cannot be the battery. The radio should be removed and the wiring harness checked to I sure that there is no power at the radio. Then the harness should be back tracked to find the problem.

The radio on most american vehicles has two fuses powering its functions. Ie--CD player runes but is not amplified. Clock works but not radio. Check all the fuse headings again...ALL FUSE PANELS, there are usually more than one. sometimes 2 panels Inside and under the hood as well

I blew the main fuse in my engine compartment, i had it replaced but still have no power to my radio and no interior dome lights. Already checked fuses?

apparently there is a 125 amp fuse between the + and - on the battery/ fuse area (engine side). Get this changed, and everything should come back.

There is a fusable link from your battery to everything inside the car. 62468983
See FL Main 3.0W - I believe that is where your problem lies. If all your fuses are good...that is the culprit. Good luck!

2003 Toyota Echo radio/clock not working.

Disconnect your negative battery cable for about 10min. After you re-connect, the stereo should reset itself and start functioning. Best of luck!

Yes, just removed #17 fuse and reinstalled and everything returned. Maybe bad connection, or maybe something was drawing current and that's it's function, (cut power) but it just didn't reset? (Owner's manual lists one function of Circuit #17 as "Battery Saver')

Changed my battery.

This may sound silly but place the actual key in the drivers door and cycle locked and unlock this should reset the security system.

2002 xjr 100 radio will not power after battery change

If the battery went dead and you charged it, you need to reboot the system. It has lost them function of radio.
Disconnect both side of the battery and with the battery disconnected, crank the car 3-4 times (This just discharges the computers). Then reconnect the battery cables (pos + first) and you should have a working radio again.
