the DIS engine started in July 1997 (mfg, date)

so your does have a distributor (google that please)
but 1997 is also a big change, a new engine
end to end. july 1.

no photo of your engine, means NO JOY.
we can not guess engines
or what spark system used due to huge changes

How do I locate the ground wire on a 03 ford f-150? the fuel pump has good presion and the sparks plugs are brand new but the engine wont start at all someone tell me its an electrical

If the pump has good pressure, I would make sure it had spark to the plugs. If you have individual coils for the plugs , I would go directly to the crank sensor. Having the codes read will point you in the right direction. But if you think it is a ground for the pump. find the wires for the pump, by the fuel tank, the black wire is the ground for the pump. Splice it and run it to the frame.

Will not turn over already changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump was changed two years ago its fuel injected. battery is fine and so is spark plugs

fuel rail, injectors, of possibly the max fuse in the underhood fuse box that powers the fuel pump. see if you turn the key to accessory if you can hear the fuel pump. and if it is getting fuel test the plugs and wires.

No spark to spark plugs 1600cc , wires are fine , fuel pump ok , spark plugs wet, could it be distibuter cap , or module , or distrbutor itself

It is possible that the distributor cap and/or rotor are faulty. They are not very expensive, easy to replace and will allow the engine to run more efficient. This is a way to visually test the coil to make sure it is good. Remove the coil wire at the distributor and place it against the engine block so the spark can find a good ground. Have someone turn over the engine for only a second or two and keep clear of the wire. You will be able to see how powerful the spark is or if it is bad. Please rate me on this answer.

1996 chevy cobolt 6 cyl. "engine power reduced" idols extremly rough shaking entire engine. When pushing on gas pedal car will sputter acting like it wants to die.

It sounds like you have a fuel issue or spark issue. Pull your spark plugs and see how they look. If they look fine then test the fuel pump. You could try to run to fuel system cleaner through the fuel system and see if there is an improvement in idle. Could be any of the following problems,

spark plugs
spark plug wires
fuel filter
fuel pump
air filter

Check the easy stuff like plugs, wires fuel pump and air filter first.

Tuned up a 1993 chevy cavalier has spark won't start

Spray aerosol carb cleaner into the throttle body while an assistant tries to start the engine. If it runs for a few seconds then quits, you are not getting fuel into the engine. Check the fuses. You might have blown the fuse for the fuel injectors (possible if you removed any of the injector harnesses) or the fuel pump relay.

My cavalier won't start

Okay there should be a plug on there make sure it is pluged in all the way. If you have someone to help you pull one of the spark plugs out plug it in to the wire (Do Not Hold Wire with Bear Hands) use insulated pliers.try to start car if you don't see a spark from plug then it means that the coil pack is bad. If it does spark then it is possible thet it may be a fuel problem.

Very sluggish

It could be a number of things. The spark plugs or the spark plug wires. Fuel pump, or the fuel filter. Check your spark plugs and wires before you do anything. I just changed my spark plugs and wires and now I have better performance on my car. It should be your spark plugs and wires. If you do decide to replace them, you have to know the order of the wires, or you will skrew it all up. So take the new spark plug covors and number them and do them ONE at a time. You can only remove one spark plug at a time as well. I hope this information was good.
