Buy kit from parts store--can of refrigerant and hose. Follow directions on can. Hose will only connect to low pressure port of the system. Puncture can using hose valve and open valve. Start car and set A/C to max. Shake can and tilt occasionally until empty. If A/C is still not cold, add another can.

Where is the low side ac port to charge rear of vehicle

The rear AC is supplied from the same compressor and charged through the same low side port under the hood, so if the front AC works ok then the problem is not a low refrigerant level in the system you have other issues like a sticking blend door or failed blend door actuator.

My car didn't take the R-134a

If your car ac is not taking in refrigerant, it could be caused by several things.
If you have recently done work on the system and you are going to fill the system the first time, you will need to pull a very deep vacuum before trying to charge in refrigerant. If you have already properly evacuated the system and having problems getting the correct charge adjusted, you may be having problem with pressure equilizing between the refrigerant source and your ac system. To get the refrigerant going again, you need to connect the charging hose on the low pressure side of the ac system and turn the fan and ac on cool. The pressure in the ac system on the low pressure side will get lower than the pressure in the refrigerant container and flow will start. When charging initially, charge liquid on the high pressure side and with the ac system running, charge gas on the low pressure side. To charge liquid, invert most container so spout is down, to charge gas, keep container right side up. Charging by gas help you to not over charge your system. Beware on most vehicle ac systems the suction and discharge connections are two different sizes and require the proper adapter. If you still having problems creating a pressure difference to move refrigerant, you can try immersing the refrigerant container in warm water or applying warm air to the exterior of the container.
Hope this helps.

Ac not working

The first thing to do is check the charge in the AC system with a set of AC pressure gauges that attach to the charging port, if the pressure is low or non existent then you have a low charge and this means you have a leak in the AC system. The leak must be found and repaired and then the system evacuated and recharged with the correct level of refrigerant

A/C blowing hot air

The first thing you need done is to have the AC system charge checked, this requires a set of AC pressure gauges. A low charge is the most common cause of not cold air, a low charge on most GM is due to a failed AC compressor front seal or condenser core breach.

Which pins are shorted on AC pressure switch to get the AC compressor to cycle to fill unit with freon?

You should not have to do anything to charge that AC system, except to start the engine and turn on the AC to maximum, then charge the AC system, when there is enough pressure in the system the low pressure switch will trip the AC compressor on and you can continue to fully charge the AC system.

Air compressor wont come on to to put in 134a

The AC compressor does not have to be running to charge the AC system, and the low pressure switch will even prevent the AC compressor from operating until there is sufficient pressure to operate the AC compressor without damaging it.

Start the engine and turn on the AC, then charge the system with the R-134a and as soon as there is enough pressure built up to trip the low pressure switch off, the AC compressor clutch should then engage and then finish charging the AC system.

How do i charge the air conditioner on a 2000 ford focus. Where are the connectors

Look for the ac compressor, and locate the large ac line coming off the ac compressor.Follow it until you come to the ac charge port.this is where you charge it up with a charge hose that you have.Put the can on the can tap,and the quick connect to the ac port on the ac.Turn the t handle on the can tap clockwise until all the way down.hold the can upside down.start engine and turn the ac on high blower.and recirculate.shake can lightly, until the can empties.Turn the t handle counter clock wise, almost all the way out,and remove the can .Repeat to add another can,Don`t put too much freon in,and add ac oil also.If it lost freon,it lost oil, failing to do this could cause the ac compressor to lock up.One 4 oz can will be fine.look for the large ac line to get cold, and the accumulator to get real cold, then stop with the freon.

A low refrigerant charge will cause the ac compressor clutch to not come on and/or partially apply. Check the ac refrigerant charge -- if low charge ac. Then re-evaluate

Recommend istall dye into system, charge with just enough r134-A (cheapest at walmart.then let ac run for 30 min. after that inspect with black light for a green substance at all ac components.if none found look at ac drain for green residue.Best way to isolate ac leaks.
