Question about 2001 Ford F150 Styleside SuperCrew
Sorry to hear your compass and ambient temp display isn't working. Unfortunately, this is a common issue with vehicles using this type of display. It probably isn't a fuse.
My company repairs these in a manner that precludes the problem from happening again (we use new components, and a heatsink to prevent debonding). Repair includes a one year warranty on our work!

If you are talking about a blank display ( and you are sure it is not turned off, press the button 3 times ) there is a good how to at F150lone that shows the resistors that come unsoldered. If they are still in the housing, you can just solder them back down, else you will need to get some 51 ohm resistors

Superdutys also have a similar issue, but the resistor is a 68 ohm resistor. The last one I soldered back together had 1 missing resistor and 1 was hanging by a thread.
Make sure you get all the traces on the PCB if you need to solder in a new resistor, the SD has 3 traces to the resistor.
