If you are certain that the wires have been replaced correctly then you could have a bad set of wires even though they are new this happens sometimes but it sounds as if the firing order is off check the engines timing to see if its still in time.

I have a 94 Ford Taurus. I recently took it to a place to get a free diagnostic check hoping to see what was wrong and get an estimate. They were able to get codes off the reading but their system only...

Quite a long list of codes. The first thing to do is clear the codes and see how many return after driving the car for a few days.
The codes that include 301 - 306 are for cylinder misses on the selected cylinders. 301 is cylinder one, and so on.
But my first problem is the year of the car. Ford uses two digit codes for most cars built before 1996. Including yours.
The three and four digit codes you listed look more like OBD2 codes for models built after 1995.
So before you proceed, you need to verify the codes you were given are from your car and it is in fact a 1994.

Engine Code 301

Code # 301??? That is NOT a valid Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) for the engine control system on a 2000 Mercury Sable.

Assuming that you mean P0301, that is a cylinder misfire code that is identifying number 3 cylinder as the cylinder with the misfire problem. MANY things can cause a cylinder to misfire including spark plugs, spark plug wires or boots, burnt valves, broken valve springs, blow head gaskets, cracked cylinder heads, bad or dirty injectors, faulty injector control circuits, Failed ignition coils...the list goes on....proper diagnosis required.

301 & 306 are cylinder #1 and #6 misfire. Your spark plug wires are not in the proper firing order in relation to the correct cylinder and distributor locations.

Hi I went to change the spark plugs on my cef 88 its got power and sounds like it wants to start but doesnt thanks

Are you sure you put the plug wires back in the correct order? If it ran before you changed the plugs, and thats all you have done, then it sounds like you have a couple plug wires switched around. I would check a shop manual on your car for the correct firing order and make sure thats how they are ran on your car. Hope this helps, Clay

96 mustang dies electrically while driving

did you change your battery or have a load test performed on it,it could be bad.
Have your mechanic change the wire harness for the alternator at the plug, they can burn out on the inside and look good on the outside,They are black 10 guage with orange stripe, and smaller guage plug wires. This part canbe purchased from the parts store, or dealer.

My van seems to be having random multiple misfires

First, investigate the warranty,as there is no need for you to be spending money out of your pocket if the warranty covers such items. As far as the misfires, they can be caused by items a little more in depth, although the spark plugs are the first items to check and replace. The spark plug wires can also cause misfires,as well as coil or coils, and injectors being dirty and partially plugged up.If your engine utilizes spark plug wires, replace them,as they will leak voltage when old,and cause misfires.Anything beyond that will require more diagnostics.Every diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has a diagnostic route as prescribed by the manufacturer. These diagnostic routes are available through pay sources such as All Data online. If the simple things like plugs and wires doesnt fix the problem, then diagnostics are in order.Good luck.
