To remove the door panel there is 1 torx screw behind little black cap at the door handle, 2 7mm screws at the bottom of the door, and where the window switch is pry it straight up and out, disconnect the wires and then remove 1 more 7mm screw in that compartment. Now lift straight up on the door panel. Hope this helps.

My back pasnger window wont roll down but it'll roll up???? dont get?

if it is electronic, then there is 2 contacts in the switch itself. one of the contacts, (the one to roll is down obviously), is worn out. sometimes you can push the switch down, and kind of pull it sideways a little bit.

2001 xk8 when opening door wwindow drops aprox 1" when I shut the door now it does not go back up any simple fix thanks

with the engine running, run the window all the way down and hold it untill you hear a click, then run it all the way up and hold it untill it clicks again. That should reset the memory and it should work correctly.

Coolent leak on fire wall in engine compartment on pasnger side

Hi , if you lift up your passenger side floor carpet and check underneath if there any coolant. If it`s dry you know the leak is in the engine bay ,if it`s wet could be either inside or outside of the firewall. In the engine bay check the hose clamps on both side of the hose if you can tight them or if one a those spring clamps try to reposition them. If you have hose clamp right at the firewall then you can easily change the hoses otherwise you have to access it from under or worst case behind the dash. Hope that helps.

Windows

all of the fuses for the windows etc can be found in the glove compartment. open the glove box and on the top if the inside of it, you can find 2 white tabs that can be turned 1/4 turn to allow the fuse panel to be accessed. most commonly the windows in these cars will not roll up or down due to faulty window regulators. when you press the button down for the respective window, do you hear a grinding or popping noise from that respective door? If so you will need a new window regulator to repair the problem. If nothing is heard, you will most likely have a faulty switch.
