Something is probably out of alignment. You can take off the inner door panel and find any of the metal arms that are part of the window and see if they are loose. You can try adjusting them and see if the window moves more freely. Find the sweet spot and bolt it down tight and that should be it.
Let me know how this works out. The door is held on by mainly screws and a few clips. It will come off easily if you find all of the screws.

Hi!!

Remove door panel and inspect for poor connections at the passenger door module and bent or binding window elevator hadware. Check window to elevator fasteners.

Activate the window up and down to detect the reason the window don't go up freely. Apply lubricant if required,

Good Luck! Don't forget to rate this post!!

Here is a diagram of the passenger door.

Power windows go down part way and start clicking without moving

I had the same thing with my driver side window. I took the door panel off and did not see any physical damge. But if I ran my hand along the regulator track, I would feel the cable had started to fray and come apart. The clicking was the cable within the spool that winds up as you use the window rubbing against the plastic. My van is a 2000 and I was able to find a .pdf of the Dealer repair manual online, only one page talks about the regulators and shows for a manual setup. But it made the mounting screw locations easier to find. Go to you-tube and type in your car make and year with something like, "how to replace a window regulator". I was lucky enough to find one for my van. In my case, the space you are working with is extremely tight, but I was able to get it all back together and it works great. I just fixed it yesterday, BTW, just wanted to pass on the good fortune.

My passenger side front window (England, left) dosnt work properly. It goes down ok but it will not go back up unless operated by the drivers doors. (England, Right)

Hi, has your car got global closing. Sometimes they forget their memory, normally after pulling a fuse or flat battery. Open all your windows, sunroof if you have one. Press the lock on your fob and keep held down, all windows should close, this also works for opening when you keep hold of the open button, try doing this a few times, eventually it restores memory. I also have a 2001 focus.

I have a 2003 cavalier. I have power windows. The passenger side window although slowly does go down. When closing the window it will go up stop then after giving it several minutes goes up a little...

Maybe your motor just need the connections taken off and sprayed down with wd/40 to help the connection. Is this happening on the driver side? if so try useing the passenger side button and see if it opperates same way, it;s a different window motor> good luck to you.

Hi, the passenger window glass stopped working all of a suden and fell down inside the door, i pulled it up where it should be then 5 minutes later i was trying the machine again to see if it's working...

it does not sound like an electrical issue if it fell down.
what may have happened is the bolt that hold the window onto the window mechanism has come out. you may find it is working ok now because the bottom of the window is sitting on top of the mechanism that goes up and down.
wind the window half way down and see if you can lift it up easily, if you can then the bolt has come out and needs to be replaced before the window falls down again and smashes.
if you remove the door card as per the manual it is normally an easy job.

Passenger window will go down but not up

If it goes down, that means the motor is ok. So chances are its in your switch on the arm rest. Also sometimes the window track gets loose and will cause the window to bind up about half way up, but i don't suspect that to be your case.

Passenger power window problem

hi, this is a common problem and it could be down to a couple of things.

the first and most likely is that all the runners the window runs on need re-greasing to do this you would need to get some spray grease or lube not wd40 that makes the problem worse, you then need to remove the door panel on that side and give all the moving parts a good spray and also the rail the window arms run on, spray it then work the window up and down a few times and hopefully that will solve your problem, if not keep reading.

now the second problem you could be having is going to be worn arms that the window runs on this is not very likely but does happen, once you have the panel off check everything is tight and tighten any loose parts up if after doing this and greasing you still have the problem then your going to need to buy a new window mechanism, these are not expensive to buy but can be a bit fiddly to fit as their isnt much room to get your hands in to get the work done.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

I can closed the back passenger window

IF you can, separate the rubber/felt window seals and see if you can see the top of the window glass. IF you can - use a pair of needle nose pliers and attempt to carefully pull up - making sure you do not crack (shatter) the glass. Once enough glass is exposed - use your fingers to pull-up. While you are pulling--up attempt to raise (up) the window with the window switch. There may be a dead spot on the motor, by pulling-up you advance the motor beyond the dead spot, and the motor MAY re-engage.
IF you can't get the glass up with needle nose pliers, try pushing down on the glass (being careful again) while engaging the window switch to raise (up). Again the idea is to get the motor from the dead spot.
Another way: While engaging the window switch to raise the window - bang (hard) on the door - in various spots to attempt to "vibrate" the motor to engage.
Last but not least: Remove the Inner Door Panel and raise the window by hand, again using the window switch to (maybe) assist you.
I have also (but painfully): separated the window seals and got a piece of duct tape down onto the glass, using a long screw driver to adhere enough of the tape to the glass enough to pull up on the glass. It worked but it needs careful hand control on your part. GO Duct Tape!

Passenger side window dont go fully up

Hi.
Sounds like the "anti-pinch" mechanism is coming into action on the drivers side.
If the window encounters any resistance when closing it will stop.
Check the window seal for damage and correct fitment, make sure there is nothing obstructing the glass. If you are OK with the seal and channels at either side and the window is going up an down "square", try some lubricant in the channels either side with the window in the down position and operate a few times.

Passenger side. The motor for the window must have been disconnected from battery voltage at some time and it has lost its reference points. That is, where to start and stop.
Nudge the window near to the top, but not closed, then close the window holding the switch down for at least 5 seconds. Then open the window and hold the switch down as before.
You may have to do this more than once.

There should be a section in your owners manual covering this procedure.

I don't think the two problems are connected physically.

Passenger window on 94 lumina van

If all the other windows work when the passenger window won't move (during the 5 min period), then the passenger side motor is bad. If the motor pulls too much amperage, the circuit breaker that is built into the motor will trip, until it cools down.
