How do i check transmissiom fluid 2006 jetta

Hi there,

Jetta's 2006 carry sealed gear box. There is no dip stick to check the transmission fluid. Per manufacturer, transmission fluid requires to change unless there is any issue with transmission. I hope this helps.

Volkswagen Jetta's automatic trans. have a sealed transmission. A tool is used to expell and replenish fluid. Only volkswagen or an ASE certified tech (Specialized volks. or audi Techs) have this tool.

1996 volks wagon trans mission dipstick has raidiator fluid mixed in it how do i fix the problem, is it bad to drive like this?

Don't drive the car!You need a new radiator and you need to change the fluid in your transmission a couple of times, right after the rad is replaced and then again in about 100 kms or 60 miles. If you don't do this then you will end up replaceing both the rad and the tranny.

How do I change a speedometer transmitter on a 2001 volks wagen jetta gls

The item you are looking into is call Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).

It's on the body of the transmission.

With engine off and key out

Pull the sensor cap off and replace the sensor.

Make sure the connector are tight otherwise dirt and corrosion will damage the contact.

The information about how fast the car is traveling is taken from the 4 ABS wheel speed sensors on each hub. This is then transmitted from the ABS control unit to the instrument panal's control unit.
