It could be behind the glovebox or maybe behind the radio compartment.

The dust and pollen filters should be replaced every 30,000 miles (48,000 km) or 24 months, whichever comes first. Replace the filters more often if the air flow is less than usual.
Open the glove box. Remove the glove box stop on each side, then let the glove box hang down.Remove the filter lid from the blower unit, then pull out the first dust and pollen filter. Slide the second filter to the left, and pull it out. Remove the filter from the housing and replace the filter. Install the filters in the reverse order of removal.

Air conditioning filter

Here's a really wild guess.
My daughter has a '06 Murano and the air filter, called the "cabin filter" is behind the glove box!
I'm supposing you have no owner's manual to look it up, right?
I have changed hers twice already.
You remove the glove box cardboard liner very carefully and you will see a door that can opened that has the filter behind it.
Seems like Nissan wanted 30 or 40 dollars, and I got one from e-bay for 6.
Be blessed.

Where is the air filter on the 08 camry hybrid

It is in the glove compartment, this is for the filtering the cabin air, the air filter for the motor is of course in the engine bay.

Engine Dies in Idel

being a certified mechanic has its advantages. there are multiple causes for that problem: lack of air or lack of fuel.
make sure the air filter is mostly clean.
check throttle plate (where air filter tube goes into motor), most likely black with soot and carbon. clean with tooth brush and gas, wipe off with clean rag. repeat ultil CLEAN.
low air flow past plate when closed (idle) will cause stall condition.
dirty throttle body is a common problem with lots of cars. causes engine stall.

dirty fuel filter will also cause this problem.. low fuel pressure at idle.

I also believe that your car is equipped with an idle air control valve. (regulates a bypassed air flow to motor at idle) this valve may be stopped up or non-functional. have local shop take a look, but there are ways to check valve if you consider yourself mechanically inclined
