Question about 2001 Chrysler Voyager

1 Answer

I have a 2001 Chrysler voyger that is having problems starting. It makes all the noises like its is going to turn over but just can't quite get there. It has been serviced and had 3 spark plugs replaced. The battery is fine and the starter motor is fine. Do you have any ideas? It can run fine for a couple of days and then I will have issues again.

Do you mean that the starter cranks the engine at normal speed but the engine does not start? Or does the starter not crank the engine at normal speed (cranks slower than normal, i.e. sounds as if the battery is weak)?
Does it typically fail to start when the engine is cold, or warmed up?
Why did you only replace 3 of the plugs?
When you have trouble starting it, what do you do to get it to start?

Hi yes it cranks at normal speed but engine does not start. Fails when cold. I try to start it leaving it a moment or 2 and try again and generally about the 6th or 7th time it will crank over. Mechanic did a rush job on it and will have to take back for the other 3. they did me a favour looking at it so quickly and found it would be about a 4 hour job for the back 3 plugs.

On some cras the spark plugs are way back on the rear of the motor and are hard to get to. Usually they can put the car on the rack and get to the spark plugs from underneath. Shouldn't take 3-4 hrs. They might try checking the battery when it's under load as if trying to start the car. That test will tell you if you have a bad battery

I have a 2001 chrysler minivan with front end noise. I suspect it is in the drive axle but need some help pinning it down. It has 140,000 miles

if its making a clicking noise when you make turns, that's going to be the CV joints,, and you will want them replaced asap, as they can go out anytime and leave you stuck , with that many miles, that would be a good reason for the noise, if they haven't been done as of yet . If your getting them replaced,, have whoever is doing it, check the front end parts for any unusual wear,, also the brakes,

Hi, I have a chrysler pt cruiser 1991, it is making a loud throaty noise as I go up in gears, it's not the exhaust.

HI" does this noise go away when you step on the clutch pedal and does this noise gets louder as you go faster, try turning the steering wheel a little see if noise goes away that would indicate bad wheel bearing

Grand voyger wont start in the heat

Have fuel pressure tested when it happens if you can, or take it to shop, let it run on a hot day, then check it. May be a fuel pump on it's way out.

2001 PT Cruiser quit running driving down highway

Most likely a cam sensor or a crank sensor. The timing belt didn't break did it? They also have an issue with the timing belt tensioner going bad and jumping a tooth.
