Does anyone know the wiring diahram for the fuel injectors so i can see if the #7 injector is getting power?

Is this a 7.4L engine? If so there should be power there when the key is on engine off. The other wire is a ground that goes to the pcm to pulse the injector. If you are having trouble with missfires on No. 7 of a 7.4L you may have a preasure regulator vaccum diaphram leak. This vaccum connection is on the No. 7 intake rail. To check pull the hose off and check for fuel in the vaccum line if there is the diaphram is bad and you can pick this up at you local parts store. If there is no fuel you can check to see if the regulator holds vaccum with a hand held vac. pump.

Choke seems to be on... runs very rough....

There are several ways to do it
a. Check carburetor if not clean pump it on the intake if that not solve try to clean it. with Lacquer thinner to dissolve the dirt.
b. Check spark plug if some are not working. In checking try to pull one by one the high tension wire and listen if the sound vary if the sound remain when pulling one wire mean you have problem with your spark plug. So replace all spark plug with the same spec.
c. or lost compression on cylinder.
d Check if you fuel filter if some dirt and replace it.
e. Clean your air filter with compressor or replace it
f. Check the clearance to the Contact Point it must have 1 mm or .8 mm spacing when not at firing mode ( just like the thin of the hacksaw blade the space of the gap of the contact point.)

Theres no mercury but all heat and air in every car are basically the same of course i can work on engines rebuild them trouble shoot them built a 350 4 my chevy chevelle when i was 17 but this vacum hose...

Maybe it's not a HOSE it may be one of the Diaphram actuators have a leaky diaphram.
That may be harder to find then one that has completely failed.
If you were loosing vacuum the engine would run poorly - right.
I'm thinking may be a slow leak in the diaphram in one of the vacuum actuators / vacuum motors.

Where is it located and what does the oil sending unit do?

Your oil sending unit is located somewhre on the engine. It will be round and about 1 to 1.5 inch across. It will have a wire attached to the top of it. I dont know the specific location on your particular car.

What does it do? It is a diaphram operated device that sends a signal to your oil gage or warning light. The engine side is exposed to oil pressure in the engine. The oil presses against the diaphram. The diaphram is attached to a variable resistor device that operates the gage. Low pressure on the diaphram -= low signal to the gage; Hight pressure on the diaphram = high signal to the gage.

Fuel pressure regulator. Where is it?

Hi welcome to fixya. Well if you know the basics of an engine and know what the intake manifold and carburetor and or fuel injectors look like and are located, youll find this a simple task. Looking at the engine intake manifold where the fuel line comes into the fuel rail witch then disperses the fuel to the injectors, you will see a metal round diaphram looking component. That my friend is your fuel pressure regulator.

I have a lincoln town car 2000 the cruise comes on and sets but it doesn;t take holdhow can i fix this ?what controls it it says it is set but doesn;t set

engine vacuum holds a vavuum diaphram which is connected to the throtlt at the speed you set. the diaphram is located in the engine compartment, usually on the drivers side. it's 3"-4" in diameter with likage to the throttle and a vacuum hose. check to make sure the hose has no leaks in it and is connected properly. the diaphram has to be checked with a hand vacuum pump.

I have a 1987 Samurai. On the fuel pump there is

if the outlet you refer to is turned down, has no hose on it, is most likely the diaphram vent. standing on passenger side looking into engine compartment,this outlet is rearmost, next to firewall. leave open,nothing attached.

Hi Without seeing exactly what your looking at ,you need to try and find the vacumn pipes going to the control valve and carefully lok to see they are conected and that there are no splits in the pipes,if the pipes and mechanically sound then you probably have a fault valve,try running your finger around the valve to see if the hissing noise changes.

Front end will not lock in 4x4

if you crawl under the vehicle, trace vacuum lines to transfer case they terinate in a group of 3 (vent, vacuum from engine, line to actuator diaphram under battery) . Mark lines (bundle should have a pin to prevent bad replacement, but be safe) pop 3 hose unit , unscrew switch (count the turns to return it to same position). Transfer case side has a ball that should detent fairly easily. If stuck, work it loose or replace the switch. This manual detented switchsimply routes vacuum to diaphram which pulls cable to front axle, or vents it to atmosphere when in 2wd.

You should be able to feel if diaphram is pulling in when in 4wd and is relaxed when in 2wd mode to troubleshoot. Direct vaccum to diaphram line to test. I have used aquarium airline tubing and airstone manifold to provide quick fix when a garage and/or access to parts was not available. You want to be able to direct vent to diaphram for 2wd and engine vacuum to diaphram for 4wd.
