Code P0141 = O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
code P0161 = Oxygen O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
Check the wiring at the O2 sensor for damage or shorts. If the wiring is god then the sensor is bad, replace it.

P0141 and P0161 = circuit malfunction for the O2 sensor on bank 2

Most would tell you to replace the O2, but 90% of the time this will not resolve the concern

instead, there is a circuit concern between the O2 sensor and the computer

However, if you like to take a chance, the sensor will only cost $50ish

I had all these codes come up and i dont know what they mean. Dont think its good. P1747,P0743,P0750,.P0755 ,P0760, P0765 P1451,P0133, P0135, P0141. P0153, P0155,P0161, P1409, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0171....

looks like most of you trouble is the "oxygen sensor". it in the exhaust pipe, about $25 PLUS. Changing it may very well help most of your other code problems, I would start there, it is a simple fix, you then need to clear all codes and see what comes up after replacement. You may come out very lucky.
P01747 is transmission pressure control solenoid P01451Lack of Response From Passive Anti-Theft System Module - Engine Disabled P0743Torque Converter Clutch System Electrical failure.
Do the Oxygen Sensor first as go from there.
Good luck

I have 2003 Ford Escape V6 I have to codes that read p0141 and p0161 and the car misfires I need help with this problem

P0141=O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0161=O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2,
the 141 code is a problem with the heated O2 sensor on the drivers side exhaust after the converter,
the 161 code is the same except it is on that passenger side exhaust after the converter.

Dakota 4.7 P0161 code? What does it mean

P0161 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
check the wiring to the bank 2 sensor, that is the one behind the catalytic converter on the opposite side from the bank where #1 cylinder is located, see firing order diagram below.

I have a 96 Ford Explorer. The service engine

P0141 is for an open or short in the heater circuit of bank 1(passenger side) rear O2 sensor(the one after the catayltic converter). This code will set when the computer runs the heated oxygen sensor monitor which is basically a program kinda like an anitvirus scan on your home PC.
During testing, the HO2S heaters are checked for opens/shorts and excessive current draw. The code will set when current draw exceeds a maximum calibrated limit(3amps) or falls below a minimum calibrated limit(0.220 amps for NKT sensor and 0.400 amps for bosch sensor) and/or an open or short is detected.
Here are the possible causes for this:
·Blown fuse
·Short to VPWR in harness or HO2S
·Water in harness connector
·Open VPWR or GND circuit
·Low battery voltage
·Poor electrical connections from PCM to HO2S sensor
·HO2S heater
·PCM

Now the reason I ask what the codes were is that may help in determining what is wrong. If the other codes you had were also O2 heater cicuit codes example P0135, P0155, P0161 then you may need to be looking at something other than the O2's themself and maybe more toward a blown fuse no. 24 (15amp) in the under hood fuse box, wiring harness problem on the voltage side since all four share this one or a bad PCM.

Ford Windstar 1996 Trouble Codes P0171, P0141, P0161, and P0174

Bank one is toward the front of the vehicle. Sounds like the heated oxygen sensors have gone bad. The Oxygen Sensors are located in the exhaust pipe and require a special socket to remove and replace.

I have error codes p0156 p0161

Check the wire harness near the top of the engine in the rear. They were good for rubbing through on the trans fill tube bracket. Judging by the code you have 4 sensors. you would be interested in the drivers side rear sensor.
